PERSONALITY
Quiet and withdrawn, these days. The only person that knows me the best keeps those secrets. My Anela says I'm like "the moon and the sun", from cold and distant, to warm and jovial...just depends on what happens when the rest of the South Shore goes to bed.

RANDOM FACT(S)
I believe in the gods of the island as much as I believe in Santa Claus, but I respect it without question.
I believe more than anything that this "Chosen" status is overrated.
I've been trained in "Lua" by my uncle since the age of 13.

biography

From the moment of my birth, I've been destined. And the members of my tribe haven't taken a seconds rest in informing me of my role to our people. The Chosen One. Yeah, when I was a child, that term was fun, a bit of a go for my boyish ego and pride. Now, it means more than just a title. A name. A reason for everyone to look and point, the hope in their eyes deeper than I could really understand. Sophomore year was when it was all made clear to me. My father's desire to drink like a fish, instead of face any issue with our family...or look at me without that glimmer of hate flashing in his eye. My uncle's need to be around me, even when I turned his fathering hand away. And...Maleah. My Anela. The woman that I will one day take as a wife. All of it. Too much. And it still is.

After graduation, the responsibility became heavier than it had on my 15th birthday. No longer was alaka`i (leader) a word that lifted my chin in haughty pride. Now it just weighs on me. Heavy and suffocating. And the doubt still hasn't subsided. The doubt that I will ever be the man that everyone expects me to be...
