Unlike other forums, Kapuhai Reef is a Role-Playing (RP) forum. That being said, you don't register as yourself - unless you are a
mod or admin. You register as your character.
There are one of two ways to register on the main page.
Clicking either of those will take you to a page full of forms. No worry - there are only two sections that are required at this time.
The username is the name of your character - be sure to read the rules about names! In general, remember It is your character's
name, not yours.
If it is taken, add the initial of their last name.
Your character's name cannot contain special characters - no spaces or periods. Apostrophes are acceptable if they are in the spelling of your
character's name.
Give your character a password you'll remember. Regarding emails - it does not need to be real! Make one up if you want.
After you fill out the captcha at the bottom, your character is now an official member of Kapuhai Reef. However, that does not make them a citizen -
yet.
With your character now registered, it's time to apply them. There are three things you need to do to become a citizen of Kapuhai Reef: An Avatar
An Application
A Signature linking to your profile
First thing is to get an avatar. An avatar is a 160X160 picture of your character. To upload it, get a direct link from
Tinypic, Photobucket etc. Below your username, click the User Control Panel
This will take you a page full of your profile information. At the top there will be a bar. Click "Edit Profile" to go into something
that looks like the form when you registered.
All you have to is scroll down to where it says "Avatar URL" and paste the link. And congrats! You're one step closer to being a part
of Kapuhai Reef.
On to step two. The Application for Citizenship can be found here. Be sure to read the Rules there as well. Fill out as much as you please, format it if you want and you're almost done. Before you post your
application, you MUST check the 'Use Signature?' button.
Post it, and with that you're almost done! Just one step left - your signature. First, copy the URL of your application. Then
go back to how you added your avatar. Just below it is an option for signature. Your signature must contain the URL to your application
somehow. To a link a word you use this code:

After that, all you need to do is wait for a mod to approve your character. Now you're ready to find a partner.
There are two great ways to find someone to RP with. The first and sometimes easiest is to go to the CBox down at the bottom of the
page. Introduce yourself, talk with the other members, and see if anyone is looking for a partner.
Another way is to make a post here and wait for someone to message (U2U) you. If you see any recent posts there, try sending them a message!
