biography

The story's simple. Born in North Carolina, so I guess that makes me southern. Mom and dad aren't together, but that didn't give them an excuse to not raise me together. Generally normal upbringing and two hard working ass parents kept the bills paid and kept us middle class. But one thing my parents reinforced was the fact that I was never "normal". Excelling at everything I put my hands on was my goal. I don't "half" do. I didn't in high school as one of the two black kids in the top 10% of our graduating class. I didn't at NCCU as the youngest Head Drum Major in the history of the university. And I sure didn't when I lost my band scholarship on some bullshit. Apparently people stick the word "hazing" to anything these days...

Fast forward. I'm at KRU on a new, BETTER scholarship and I'm THEE first African American/Filipino Head Drum Major...ever. It's history in the making. Because my presence always makes history...no matter where I go.
