My "origin story" is so crazy, sometimes I hate talking about it because I hate seeing the look on people's faces. Shock! Horror! Mild amusement! But, here goes...

I was born in California on a commune in Huntington Beach. Yes, THAT Huntington Beach. My people that birthed me and therefore are given the title of "birth parents" were a part of a religious group called the "Children of Yeshua". Long story short, the commune was raided by the local government and forced to turn all underage minors over to the state. I'm assuming it was the unregistered firearms and reports of child marriages that really did the group in. After that, I was given to my mom's sister, Aunt Camilla, who was...you guessed it, a staunch Christian. If you asked her, she'd say she took me in out of the kindness of her heart. But really, it was all about the money the government gave her every month just to keep me fed and clothed. At least she did that. At sixteen, I emancipated myself and at eighteen, I'm a Freshman at KRU in Hawaii because NOTHING was far enough away from New York. My major's undecided and I'm pretty okay with that...
