Koi's Room

Koi - 19-11-2011 at 09:04 AM

The Kidd sleeps here...among other things.

Devyn - 7-12-2012 at 05:47 PM

She couldn’t see. Everything was covered in a strange haze, like she was trapped in a cloud or a fog. She could see a fog, it was so hot...maybe if she cooled things down a little she could see again. Dev reached for the center console, adjusting the A/C in her truck and checking to make sure the vents were open before she refocused, rubbing her eyes and trying to just...see. This was dangerous. Driving and not being able to see was dangerous, but she had to be somewhere else...anywhere else that wasn’t...well it was home now, wasn’t it. She could never go back to what she used to have. There was no more “when my mom gets better”...because now she was dead. She was gone and this was it. She stayed with the only family that would ever give a fuck about her because her mother was gone. It was getting harder and harder to see. Harder to breathe. It had been like this since she left her aunt’s house and it wasn’t...it didn’t matter. She was here now.

She pulled into Koi’s driveway quickly turning off the car and stepping out, her feet carrying her to the front door faster than she realized. She had to apologize. She’d fucked up and she needed to see him. She needed to apologize to Koi. She pushed the doorbell, the chime sounding inside the house and she waited, rubbing at her eyes again hoping that they’d clear up. It wasn’t the heat that was making it hard to see. It was probably the tears she was trying to ignore. She reached up to knock on the door, her knuckles meeting the hard cherry wood just once before the door was opened. Oh...

“Eri, honey, hi-,” she tried to keep her voice steady, her lips unable to pull into even the smallest smile for her. “Is Koi here, love? I really need to talk to him.”

Koi - 8-12-2012 at 07:08 AM

With his ear buds in as usual, Koi was oblivious. He was oblivious to everything but the muted gunfire of Black Ops 2 on the flat panel screen mounted on his wall. And lately, that was they way he liked shit. Especially during the quiet moments. During the hushed minutes that fell between school, the ragers, the chemical elevation and sleep, he filled them with noise. There was no room for quiet now. No room for thinking. No room for being...alone. The homies were around more than no one was and if they weren't there, Eri was. But it was never "just Koi". Even Eri's big ass, white dog was better company than being to himself. Thoughts happened when he was by himself. Then they turned into blame...and then into regret. And all of that was over now.

It'd been...what? Four months? Eight days? Twelve hours? Some seconds and a shitload of milliseconds...all of that time since the day he and Devyn figured they were better out of each other's lives than in it. They'd seen each other in passing, stayed lab partners, kept their mutual friends. And in all that time, they'd said less than twenty words to each other. Koi could even list them. They were like a broken record. A dry greeting, some small talk and a goodbye. Lab was a little different. They talked about chemical equations and whatnot. Couple extra words here and there. But nothing like what they were. What they use to be...

And there it was. What happened in the fucking quiet. Thoughts about Devyn and the things that didn't exist between them anymore. Koi didn't have the time or the patience for shit like that. Hitting "start" and dropping his controller, he pulled the ear bud from his ear, Rihanna's voice dying out as he dropped them to the floor where he sat, his hands searching for his phone. Wasn't Dhonny dropping by? Wasn't he supposed to have already been there fucking ten minutes ago? Maybe he left a message or...

Oh my gosh! Hi! Thoughts stopping, he heard Eri's voice, her excitement on overdrive with a giddiness that he rarely ever heard from her anymore. Who was she talking to? Was Dhonny at the crib? That was kind of weird though because...Eri was never that excited about Dhonny like that. She saw him all the time. That voice? The voice she was using? That was reserved for someone she hadn't seen in a couple of full ones. Shitload of moons. And...wait, who the fuck was in his house.

Standing to his socked feet, he walked quietly to his door, cracking it open, his head emerging the second the unnamed visitor's voice sounded. A female? Who the fuck was this? Stepping out of his room, he heard his name as he came to stand at the side of the stair rail, his hands grasping the banister. It didn't take him two seconds to figure out who the girl was. Perfect frame, ripped jean shorts, jet black hair, burgundy-colored lips drawn tight. Devyn... Eri caught his eye first, a look of worry on her little face as she pointed to him at the top of the staircase. And when Devyn looked up at him, he knew why...

Devyn - 8-12-2012 at 10:10 AM

She hadn’t expected Eri to answer the door. In all honesty, she hadn’t been prepared for anyone but Koi to greet her. That was who she’d come to see, that was end-game for her. She was here to make things right between them. She had to tell him that things between them falling apart had been her fault, that she was sorry. She needed him to know that things could go back to the way they were if he wanted, that she would be cool about everything, that...life was too short...But first she had to talk to him. She hadn’t even thought about him not being here which was more likely than not knowing him. She should have called. She should have asked if he even wanted to see her. It was rude, coming to people’s houses unannounced...it was too late now though, wasn’t it?

Eri pointed to the banister, Devyn’s eyes following the direction of her finger until they landed on him. Koi.Good, he was here. And form the looks of things he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. He had time for this. Time for her. More time than they’d spent together in the last...4 months? Had it been that long since they decided to stop speaking? Had it been that long since she’d had a real conversation with him? No. It’d been longer, because before that they’d been fighting. Really fighting about...the last time she was in this house. Christmas, his backyard, the fight on his birthday? It all seemed so much smaller than it had before.

“Koi, hey-,” her feet carried her into the house, moving beyond the foyer and to the foot of the stairs before stopping. “Listen, I don’t, uh...I don’t want anything. I just really need to talk to you and it’s kind of important...but no pressure. I know I’m probably the last person you want to see and-,” she paused her frantic rant about nothing, her mind drifting to exactly what he was seeing. The tears and the eye rubbing...she probably looked like the Hamburglar. A nervous scoff left her lips as a small, sad smirk pulled at them, “I probably look like I escaped from somewhere, but I really need to talk to you. It’ll only take a second...”

Just a quick second and she would be out of his hair if he wanted.

Koi - 8-12-2012 at 02:06 PM

What the- what was Devyn doing...here? In his house...standing at his front door? Koi's eyes narrowed in curiosity, watching her eyes focus on him where he stood above her. Damn. She looked...bad. Her face was different. She didn't smile when she saw him, not like he wasn't expecting her to. He hadn't seen a real smile from her since the Christmas they'd spent together with Eri and...shit. That'd been almost a year ago. But this face was nothing like what he'd seen. Not in her anger, not in her disappointment in him, not in her disgust of him. This was different and he couldn't help but hope, silently, that it didn't have shit to do with him. That he wasn't the reason why her eyes were puffy and red, dark circles sitting underneath them like she hadn't seen sleep for a week. He'd been in that position way too much that year. He'd let her leave his life just to avoid shit like this, their friendship disappearing like it had never existed in the first place. There was no way that he'd been able to touch her life, dirty it up, without even being in it...right?

With narrowed, unsure eyes, he took her in as she moved to the foot of the steps, a greeting on her lips that sounded as unsteady and shaky as she looked. This wasn't Devyn. Nothing about this...was...her. Nodding in response, Koi stayed quiet, his stare wavering from Devyn's weird behavior...and Eri. The look on his little babe's face had him worried. While Koi was looking at his sister, his sister hadn't stopped looking at Devyn, fear in her face. Not fear of Devyn, no. Fear for her. And as his eyes shifted back, he knew he wore the same look. He listened to her, no words coming from him. And she sounded...lost...confused...distracted. And the things she was saying. She wanted to talk to him? Why? Everything had been said four months ago. They were...done with each other. And...that was it. Right? So what else was there to say?

There was a quick pause, Devyn's words faltering as a scoff left her lips. Koi looked at Eri, nodding towards the living room, a signal that said she needed to go somewhere unseen and unheard. But the only thing he got in return was a frown. A refusal. Koi's lips thinned at her stubbornness. A year. An entire year of not seeing Devyn and Eri still cared about her so much that she didn't want to leave her side. Shaking his head, he refocused on the dilemma at hand. Devyn wanted to talk...and nothing inside of Koi wanted to deny her that.

"Devyn." He spoke, interrupting her plea for a moment of his time. She didn't have to ask him twice...not her. Never her. "It's okay...come on." And just like that, he let her back in. There wasn't a closed door on her. There never was. The second she showed up at his door and he saw her there, eyes red and frazzled, he knew he'd let her in. No matter what. No matter if she argued with him until three o'clock the next morning. Not even if she told him news that he didn't want to hear...about someone else wasting her time. Someone else breaking her heart. He didn't care what her next words were. Because for the first time in a long time, he was...happy. It was twisted as fuck, but he was happy to see her. To know that out of everyone she could've gone to, she came to him. She was talking to HIM.

"It's alright, babe." He whispered as she made her way to the top of the stairs, opening the door to his room and closing it behind them.

Devyn - 8-12-2012 at 02:56 PM

He was probably so confused. What could she ever be doing here of all places? Hadn’t they said everything they needed to in that empty classroom? No. She’d held back then. She hadn’t said half of the things she’d been thinking that day because she didn’t see the need. Not after knowing how he felt. And he couldn’t help that. Koi couldn’t help the way he felt about Devyn just as she couldn’t help feeling the way she did about him. She’d likded him then. Still did, her stomach doing a distant, but familiar somersault as her name left his lips. Only this time it didn’t sound like Koi. Not the Koi she knew. His voice was strained, almost pleading...or was that pity? Probably a little of both. She knew she looked and sounded like a crazy person, but her thoughts...she couldn’t explain it. Everything was all smushed together in her mind and it seemed like it was all coming out at once. She didn’t really know what she was saying until it was said and then...oh no. His sister.

She was probably scaring the shit out of poor Eri, she hadn’t looked away from her since her whole crazy rant started and she hadn’t even properly explained what was going on...She thought about apologizing and trying to convince her that everything was fine, but Koi spoke first, an agreement to talk to her leaving his lips as he motioned for her to come upstairs. Good. She’d meant what she said. It was only going to take a second to tell him what she had to. Just a quick minute and she would stop terrorizing him and his baby sister. Giving Eri a weak smile, a silent apology, she ascended the stairs, stopping in front of Koi. It’s alright, babe. She wished it was...She didn’t hesitate to explain herself once she heard the soft click of his door meeting the frame. She didn’t bother to sit, her body shaking as if she was at the peak of a caffeine rush as she stood awkwardly in the middle of his room. She faced him.

“Can you make sure, Eri knows I’m sorry about this? I didn’t mean to scare her or anything I just really needed to see you and I hadn’t even thought about her being here and I probably should’ve called or something, I know. I’m sorry about that too-,” she stopped shaking her head a little as she closed her eyes and tried to focus. And Jesus she still couldn’t see! “I um...I came here to, uh-shit,” she took another pause, her fingers again swiping at her eyes trying to clear her vision. “I want to apologize to you, kid.” There that was the start. She wanted to say sorry for fucking them up. He’d only been able to deal with the shit he knew and as far as he had known she was cool with their friendship. She should have told him she wasn’t. But she didn’t...and she wasn’t going to now, because she was...cool with their friendship that was.

“I fucked us up, kid. I let a stupid nickname that you hadn’t even thought twice about fuck us up and I’m sorry. It was stupid and I was stupid and I want everything to be okay with us again Koi I miss you kid shooting the shit the parties getting high and talking about nothing for 3 hours? I don’t do that shit with anyone but you and I miss it I miss you I miss us and I don’t mean us how you think I just...I just want to be your chick homie again kid...We can go back can’t we...”

Did he even hear her? She was talking so fast even she wasn’t sure what she’d asked but she was hoping she’d gotten the gist of it out. He just had to get her point. He had to say things were okay. And not the ‘okay’ she’d left things at. She wanted the ‘okay’ they had been before Christmas. He wanted that too right?

Koi - 8-12-2012 at 07:29 PM

Lingering at the door for a moment, Koi had to fucking...collect himself. Get his head...around what had just transpired in close to fifteen minutes. Devyn, the girl that he hadn't been on good terms with since January, had shown up at his door looking like she'd been to hell and back...and he still didn't know why. And even though he had her in his room, even though she was in his face and closer than she'd been in months, he still didn't feel settled. And for someone like Koi, not much got him unsteady. Devyn was unhinged. She wasn't herself. And as he turned around and watched her, she only made him more nervous for her. Her body shook as she stood there in the middle of his room, her body looking like it was too damn wound to even find a seat and take it if she wanted to. Her eyes were dazed, unfocused. Was- was she high on something? Was that what this was? She fucked up and took something that had her blitzed beyond belief? As irrational as she was and jumpy and...no, this couldn't be that. Not with Devyn. She was a one-poison kind of girl. Weed was the only bitch Devyn fucked with. And unless things changed, she still was. Unless...things had changed. And she wasn't the girl that she had been when they were friends. And Koi had done exactly what he hadn't wanted to do...ruin her.

As Koi opened his mouth to ask her what she'd possibly taken that night, Devyn started talking...or more like, ranting. About how she hadn't meant to scare Eri...and how she wanted Eri to know that she was sorry and...and about showing up unannounced...and before he knew it, Koi's head began to spin even worse. He closed his eyes against it. His hand went to rub his temple as the pulsing there almost made a theme song with Devyn's voice. All of the words and the pulsing jumbled together. Apologies, regrets...if he had to be honest, he didn't even know if Devyn was talking to him. Her words were a hundred miles a minute and she kept rubbing at her eyes, ruining her already ruined masc-

"I want to apologize to you, kid." What? Koi dropped his hand to his side, his eyes opening to look at her face. She was apologizing? For what? A heavy sigh escaped him as he willed things to just start making...sense. Because at that point, nothing did. Not Devyn standing in his room, asking for his forgiveness to her unexpected apology. Not her words. Not her presence, period. But here it all was, as real and as right as rain. It was happening and Koi's muddled brain would have to make sense out of it, whether he felt he could or not.

"You? You fucked us up?" What was she talking about?! It had been finished, resolved. That day, in the classroom. It had been both of their faults. No one could point a finger at the other without being to blame themselves and...Koi could agree with that. They were both the reason for the end of their friendship and they both believed that it was for the better. But now, THEY weren't?

"Dev." Again, Koi called her name, refusing to believe that anything that she was saying, she truly believed. But he couldn't question how true her words were because she just...kept talking. Taking the blame for things that weren't her fault. Telling him she missed him. Against his will, his lips twitched at those words, a smile wanting to break at those words. Koi didn't really need the blame. All he needed was that...I miss you.

"Dev, I-" Calling her name was pointless as she didn't stop talking. "DEVYN." His voice called out over her words, silencing her. He watched her face, the heaviness in her breathing as she waited for the reply to everything she'd just spilled on him. An apology, a white flag, a peace treaty. All of those things laid out before him like some fat feast. And selfishly, he wanted to eat it all. But selfish was what she'd called him in the classroom that day. And in someways, she'd been right. The Kidd was only out for himself. The Kidd only did what was right for The Kidd. No. Not this time.

"Come here..." Holding out his hand to her, he waited for her to grab his hand, pulling her into his chest, his long arms wrapping around her shaking body. He pressed her against him, his lips lowering to whisper into his ear.

"I already forgave you...for the shit you actually DID, Dev. This wasn't all your fault. The past is the past. You know that..." Nudging her face with his own, he stared down at her, drawing back enough to see her face.

"Tell me what really happened..."

Devyn - 9-12-2012 at 06:43 AM

What?! Why was he shouting at her? Devyn jumped a little her words stopping for a reason in addition to her being finished. She wasn’t letting him talk. He’d probably been trying to say something in the middle of her rant that made no sense but she couldn’t stop talking once she’d started. She had to get it out. She needed things to be okay between the two of them, she needed her best friend back. And as his hand reached out to her, his voice doing the same in a soft ‘come here’, she knew she had. She took his hand, allowing herself to be pulled into him as he held her. This. This was what she needed. She hadn’t let anyone touch her since she found out about...Not her aunt, not Carter, who had probably been there for the specific purpose of support...She just hadn’t wanted to be touched. She didn’t think it’d make anything better, it certainly didn’t change what happened but, it helped. With Koi holding her, accepting her apology, telling her it wasn’t her fault...it helped.

Tell me what really happened. No. She heard herself whimper as she pushed away from him, his arms falling away as she put distance between them. No. She didn’t want to talk about that. She didn’t want to think about her. It made her angry...and so fucking sad. Thinking about her filled her with this painful, unreal sadness that was almost numbing. Almost. She heard herself whimper again, her hand coming to cover her mouth to stop the sound as she tried to get her words together for the first time that night; as she searched for something to say that wasn’t...

“Nothing.” Lies. “Nothing happened. I just wanted to tell you that I was sorry that’s all I wanted us to be cool again because life, life is uh, it’s short and I should know that, I know that because my mom died today and she wasn’t even 40 but she’s gone and there’s so much shit I didn’t say to her before she...” Oh no. No, wait. She wasn’t supposed to be here. This wasn’t what she was supposed to be telling him. Nothing. Nothing was wrong. Nothing happened. If she said it enough maybe it would be true and this wouldn’t be happening. She would wake up tomorrow and her mom would be fine and out of whatever hospital she was in and they could just go. The two of them could just leave and disappear to somewhere where no one could find them. They could...they...couldn’t.

She felt her knees start to give and she allowed it, her body slowly falling to the floor as she let herself do the one thing she’d been trying so hard to completely avoid. She cried.

Koi - 9-12-2012 at 10:20 AM

Devyn wasn't resisting as she lay against Koi's chest, his arms holding her. He couldn't help but wonder if his arms hadn't been around her, would she have stayed there, pressed against him? He couldn't help but think why he deserved this. Why, for months, they'd kept it civil and now, she was here...with him? And then, he realized the truth. He didn't care. The only thing that mattered in that moment was his best friend, in his arms, pressed against him...not like she wanted to be there...but like she needed to be there, next to him, feeling something...anything. It'd been too long, too much distance between them and Koi was thankful the fight between them was over. That it was completely over. That maybe, after everything was cleared out of the way, they could get back to being the way they were. Just like she'd said. They could pretend the last year hadn't happened. That they hadn't had to do life without having one of the only people that got them, understood them, by their side. It was over and as her shaking body melted into him, like they were warming each other in a way that heat had nothing to do with, Koi let himself feel the moment. Let himself hold her, even though he knew the way he held her had less to do with their rekindled friendship and more to do with...how much he'd missed her.

Their hug was short lived, though, as Koi's whisper to her, his need to know what was really going on with her, seemed to have triggered something in her. Sent some kind of spark through her that woke her up, reminded her of where she was. Koi flinched as she pushed away from him, out of his arms, a whimper leaving her as his arms fell from around her. He didn't fight to keep her, she was already doing enough fighting...with herself. There was distance again and when Koi looked at her, he knew what she was really trying to put distance between. Herself and what had happened...what had her in his room in the first place. When she whimpered again, her hand coming to her mouth like she was trying to hold back something that only wanted to come out and spill out, right there in his room, he knew he was right.

"Tell me." Koi said, keeping the distance, letting her fight herself. She was winning, because...lies. That was all she was giving him when she told him "nothing" was wrong, that she wasn't being ripped apart inside by what she was holding back on. Koi could only shake his head at the words she was saying...until, they started getting...strange. She started speaking quickly, things ran together, but crazy enough, Koi understood more and more with every sentence. Life is short. I should know that...

My mom died today...

Despite himself, his mouth dropped open in shock. Her moms. Her mother...was dead. That was what this was all about. It had never really been about him or her, or their lost friendship. It'd been her mom. She'd lost her mother today and...she was...losing it, right before his eyes. Slowly, he stepped closer to her as her words faltered and stopped. The shock that covered her face when she'd realized what she'd just said made him pause. He didn't...what the fuck was he supposed to do? Her moms was gone. Just...gone. Devyn had only talked about her a couple of times, but that was it. She'd never explained details or where she was or why she didn't stay with her own mother. But he could tell she loved her whenever she spoke about her...and now she was gone. What...the fuck...was he supposed to do? Hug her? Hold her hand? Pray with her? What? Anything would've been better than just standing there and watching her...and seeing her fall...collapse into a pool of her own tears.

Like they were some magical potion, her whimpers, her pained moans, the tears falling from her eyes and onto his floor unfroze him. He stepped towards her, hovered over her. Listened to the sounds of her heart breaking. And he...reached out, his hand touching her hair lightly before he sank to the floor beside her. His hands reached out for her, pulled her on to his lap. He didn't care if she resisted him, he wasn't letting her go. So he kept pulling at her until she was curled up on him, her shaking body pressed to him, her head in his chest. And he held her.

Devyn - 9-12-2012 at 05:32 PM

--A few hours later--

It was dark. As Devyn opened her eyes from what felt like a coma, that was the first thing she’d noticed. The second? She wasn’t in her own bed. She was...still with Koi. Which was obvious from the heat at her back and the arm that laid across her waist. She was still at his place and...he stayed with her. She smiled a bit at the thought; it was...sweet, what he’d done. Especially with how she came to him...and when. Rubbing at her eyes, which were no longer blurred, she thought back over the last couple of hours, all of it a hazy blur that she was sure she didn’t want to remember. She knew what happened. And all of it had lead to him. Koi was there for her. Even after being on the outs for almost a full year, he was there for her when she need him the most and that was...friendly. There were words that were much stronger and much more appropriate than that but friendly fit. It was perfect. It was what they were. Friends.

What time was it? She was on the wrong side of the bed to see his alarm clock...she’d have to get up sooner or later either way. Her hand went to his wrist, lifting it gently so not to disturb him as she sat up, silently swinging her feet over the side of the bed to stand. Turning around she glanced at the clock. It was almost 3 in the morning...Her aunt was probably out of her mind with worry, as Devyn had said nothing before running out of her house. Did she bring in her phone? Probably not. It was probably still in the car and she should have been on her way home anyway. She’d imposed on Koi enough...probably enough for the year. But first...

She tiptoed, careful to make as little noise as possible, to his bathroom closing the door behind her before turning on the light and standing before his sink. God, she looked a mess. Her mascara was all over her face, her eyes were bloodshot, and her hair had made a kind of nest in the back. Ugh. Sighing she opened his medicine cabinet. She knew he had a stash of Visine, more to clear high-eye than dry-eye but they would work perfectly. Giving herself two in each eye she replaced it, her focus turning to her running mascara now. Taking a paper towel from the holder, she wet it, attempting to clear her face and succeeding for the most part with a bit of work. Devyn quickly ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it to one side and allowing it to fall however it may as long as it wasn’t as tangled as before. She only had to make it home and bed-hair would do just fine.

Satisfied with her face, despite her still puffy eyes, she turned out the light, opening the door before creeping back to bed. Koi had turned on his side, his back to her as she crawled to him. “Koi-,” he didn’t move. She knew he wouldn’t though. Koi had always been a heavy sleeper. It usually took a herd of elephants. Leaning into his ear, she spoke, her voice a little louder than normal, but not enough to pass his walls. “Kid, I’m leaving-,” she laughed a little, hearing him grunt something that wanted to be a response. “Don’t get up. I just wanted to say thanks...”

Koi - 9-12-2012 at 06:23 PM

It was late. Koi couldn't tell how late, but he knew that dark filled the room around him. He was lingering, somewhere between "sleep" and "wake" when the light went on in his bathroom, illuminating his face enough for him to turn over and avoid it. A soft groan crept between his lips as he adjusted his head on his pillow, moving into the extended warmth on his sheets. Why was his bed so fucking warm? Did it really matter? It was comfortable as fuck and the feeling of his comforter beneath him had him drifting back off into...oh yeah. Devyn had been there. Her body had been right beside his, hadn't it? Yeah, it had...his arm on her waist, his chest pressed against her back. She'd...cried for awhile. A long time. So long that by the time she finally stopped, she'd been exhausted enough for Koi to slip her into his bed and her not to wake from the coma she'd cried herself into. And just like he had before, he held her again. Held her until his eyes closed and the same coma took him under too.

He didn't remember when sleep hit again, Devyn's voice talking into his ear. Her hair brushed his cheek as she hovered over him, saying something about...leaving? Why was she leaving? That day had been shit for her and now, after a couple hours of sleep, she was ready to go again? Didn't she just want to...wait and...hell, he didn't know! But it just seemed crazy that she was up and ready to go...now...in the middle of the night.

"Nu-uh..." Koi mumbled, the rest of his words warbling with the sleep that still coated his voice. But the gist of his words were...to stay. Inhaling, he turned over slowly, his eyes opening to her leaning over him. She was still speaking, a little giggle escaping at the drowsiness in his voice. He smiled, his eyes closing again at her voice still talking to him. More like talking at him. Thanking him for doing what he did for her that night. She was thanking him for something he didn't need any thanks for. Everything he did...he knew she would've done for him. He didn't have a doubt in that matter. And that made shit a lot easier when it came to her. He knew that had each other's backs, no matter what. No matter time, distance, the end of a friendship. Nothing could keep him from being there, right by her side...and her, by his...when they really needed each other.

"Hey..." He said, eyes opening to her face again, his hand coming to touch her hair, pushing a couple of strands behind her ear as he spoke. "No problem, babe." He smiled again as his hand touched her knee, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"You sure you gotta leave? You can stay...if you want..."

Devyn - 10-12-2012 at 05:40 PM

She did have to thank him. He’d done more than any friend should ever have to and if the truth were to be told, they hadn’t been official friends at the time. But they still had that unspoken bond. That thing that kept them close even though they’d agreed to keep their distance. It was the same thing that had made their conversations over the last few months feel completely empty. It was the shit they’d been trying to simply ignore and for what? Because she couldn’t deal with him not wanting to be her boyfriend? It all sounded completely stupid now. Koi was...amazing. And there wasn’t a title that needed to be put on that. The two of them just...were.

She would have loved to tell him that. How completely stupid she’d been about the whole thing (sans tears this time), but he was resting. A well deserved break after what she’d just put him through. She would let him sleep, she simply wanted to whisper a thank you and be out...well not so much a whisper. He turned over as she giggled a bit, the sleep in his voice making him impossible to understand. He didn’t have to get up. She could easily find her way to the door without him and slip out without waking anyone. As she told him just that, his eyes closed again, a smile on his face, surely given for her permission to sleep and the small thank you on her lips.

No problem, babe. His hand reached out to her, giving one of her knees a reassuring squeeze that told her he didn’t really want her thanks. But she wanted to give it. She had to. In the little he’d done, he’d done so much and she couldn’t have asked for a better friend...nor could she have asked to burden him any more than she already had. “Nah, kid I have to get home, but really-,” Devyn leaned in, her hand coming to his chin as she gently turned his head, her lips meeting his cheek, “thanks...” without her permission, her words were at a whisper again. Her hand left his face and he looked up at her again and she felt...different. Like she was closer than she should have been, like she was closer than she had been...Like leaving was the last thing she wanted to do.

Devyn leaned in again, this time allowing her lips to touch his as she gave him a kiss that made up for the time they’d spent apart.

Koi - 11-12-2012 at 05:36 PM

Koi knew it. His invitation for her to stay was a stretch. That night, no matter how many times Devyn had apologized to him about them and how things had gone down, it hadn't been about him at all. It was about her...and the pain she was feeling over her Moms. A pain that Koi couldn't even imagine. Sure, he and his mom weren't the two best friends that anyone could ever have or anything. But Koi was sure that he could never imagine losing her. Not the way it seemed Devyn had lost hers. Suddenly. Without warning. Without saying goodbye... So Koi was cool with that. He was cool with things being about Devyn's mom. Because when something real happened, that meant that there was something bigger than the shit that had gone down between the two of them ever would be. It didn't even exist anymore...their issues. Their fights. The stupid shit they'd said and done. Nothing mattered outside of him being there for her...and her appreciating it. She didn't have to say thank you, though. Because that made it seem like he was doing her a favor...and it wasn't even like that with them now. He was there for Devyn...because...when it came to her? Koi couldn't see himself being any other place but "there"...

A soft smile settled on his face to cover the disappointment he couldn't keep from feeling when Devyn said she needed to leave. But it he got it. Her Moms was gone. She needed time to...mourn. Her family was probably coming in town and everything to be with her. She needed to be with people that were feeling that same pain that she was. And what about her Aunt? Koi really couldn't remember if she was related to Devyn's mom or dad, but either way, she was probably feeling it too. Yeah, leaving was the better option and Koi wasn't going to make Devyn feel bad about wanting to go home. She couldn't stay at his place and avoid everything that was real. She had to face reality. With a small nod, Koi made to sit up and slide out of bed so that he could walk her to the door...until...her hand touched the his chin, lifting his face to her. He smiled as her lips met his cheek. Again...with the gratitude. Laughing, his eyes lowered as he grabbed the hand that held his chin.

"Dev, stop..." He said, his quiet chuckle dancing around his words. "You're makin' a nigga blush..." But when he looked at Devyn, there wasn't anything comical in her eyes. No laughter, no gratitude...just...shit. Koi didn't draw away when she leaned forward again, her lips aiming for a different location. Eyes still watching her, Koi let her kiss him. Her lips pressed against his softly, so softly that he wasn't sure that...that he wasn't dreaming. Devyn was kissing him...again. As their lips parted against each other, Koi couldn't help but...draw back into his pillow, his brow furrowed for more than just his confusion.

"Whoa..." With a deep breath, he sat up, his back resting against the wall behind his bed. "What are we doin', Dev?"

Devyn - 13-12-2012 at 07:10 PM

She was kissing him again. As if they hadn’t been apart for as long as they had...as if it was...familiar. It was always this way with him. Always easy, always natural, always...intimate. Even as softly as the kiss started, it quickly became something else, her tongue parting his lips as her fingers intertwined with his. She was ready to get lost again. This was what the two of them were good at, it was the reason they had always been so drawn to one another. She and Koi lost time together. They got to a point where neither of them cared about what was happening outside of whatever it was they were doing, outside of what they were talking about, or in this case, how they touched one another. She was ready to get lost with him again...but he wasn’t.

She felt herself frown a bit as he pulled away, the disappointment obvious as she did the same. What? What was the problem? She was staying, it was what he’d asked for. He spoke, his lips asking a question that she didn’t know how to even begin to answer. What are we doin’, Dev? She didn’t know. She had no words really because she hadn’t thought about kissing him when she did it. She just kinda...did. It felt right. It wasn’t like before, it wasn’t like Christmas. Last year she had known what they were doing was wrong. She’d known that kissing him would lead to something neither of them was really ready for...but not now. It was wrong then but, it wasn’t now. Nothing about the two of them was wrong anymore. Not after what he’d done for her tonight.

“I don’t know-,” she answered honestly. She had no idea what they were doing. Devyn probably wasn’t supposed to be making this type of decision in her current state. She was probably supposed to find her keys and let him walk her to his front door, get in her car and drive home. She was probably supposed to go home and mourn with her family and make funeral arrangements and...a bunch of other shit. She couldn’t do most of it. In fact, she wouldn’t even be going to her mother’s funeral. She was on the run. She couldn’t. Not only did she not get to say goodbye to her mother before she died, she wouldn’t even be able to say goodbye now that she was gone...This was that shit. It was the exact shit she didn’t want to think about. It was the shit that she wanted to get away from. It hurt less...being lost with Koi.

She didn’t speak again, her eyes refocusing on him before she pulled at the hem of her shirt. It came off, up and over her head before being tossed aside. She wasn’t changing her mind. Not about this. Because as much as she knew she shouldn’t be doing this now, there was not one piece of her that felt like she would ever regret it. She crawled to him, covering the short distance between them easily before she came to straddle him, she didn’t touch him. Not yet. Not until he told her to...

“Don’t tell me no right now, Koi...”

Koi - 14-12-2012 at 05:20 PM

Nope. It wasn't happening again. As his back pushed against the pillows, his heart pounding violently in his chest, Koi couldn't believe that deja vu could be so fucked up. So damn cruel. A year later and here they were...again. Lips meeting, blood racing, and a choice. The decision that lingered between the both of them whether they were going to move forward or wise up and slow down. And Koi would've loved to say that he learned his lesson. That the entire year of being an enemy instead of a friend would've made him smarter, wiser. That the fights, the nights full of company that didn't even touch Devyn's, the pretending...that all of that taught him a valuable lesson and that he was intelligent enough to take it. That he'd gone through enough to never make the same mistake again. But...he couldn't say that the choice was that easy. He couldn't say that her eyes on him, full of everything that she wanted to do to him, everything she wanted to say, weren't scrambling his thoughts. He couldn't say that her kiss hadn't nearly made him want to lose himself in her like he had a year ago. But this time...the voices arguing with him, fighting against him were louder. They weren't whispers anymore.

His question told the story of those shouting voices that took so much more to shut up. What WERE they doing? What was she doing? After everything, she still...wanted this? She still wanted him? They'd spent so much fucking time, angry with each other...he knew this couldn't be what she wanted. She was confused. Sad. Grieving. And more than it ever had been, Koi could see her clearly. The hurt that she wanted to just make...go the hell away. And it looked so damn familiar. Like the look in his eyes when he saw the chemical savior that could shut up the bullshit in his life. And...that was what he was? Her drug...or some shit? He couldn't let her do it. He couldn't let her fuck up her life because the pain was too much. He couldn't let her...be weak like him.

Shaking his head at her, he closed his eyes against the look in her eyes. She was pleading with him, begging him. And he could feel himself slip a little. Like the control that he was trying to have over himself was like sand, slipping through his fingers. Feeling her shift on the bed, he knew she was getting up, coming to her senses, going home. But as he opened his eyes again, his lowered lids barely letting his look through his lashes at her, he saw that was the complete opposite of what she was doing. Her shirt was going over her head, bra exposed. Swallowing hard, he wanted to look away. But her body...damn...her body. He couldn't stop looking. Her curves were just as amazing as they'd been the first night he'd felt them at his party...in his living room. He couldn't help but touch. Her movement towards him made his already thudding heart race as she came to him, her body straddling his lap.

Don't tell me no... Shit. What was he supposed to do, then? Let this happen? Go back through the fucking cycle of losing her because of something stupid that he'd say or do? But... but he couldn't...say no. He wanted to. Just to save the friendship that they'd just gotten back. He wanted to do the right thing. He wanted to...fucking hell. His hands had made their way to her thighs, rubbing towards the bottom of her shorts, to her stomach...to her breast, cupping them through the fabric of her bra. And as quickly as he'd touched her, his hands fell away, back to her thighs. Nope. Not yet.

"I'm not gonna hurt you again..." He whispered, trying to keep his hands from caressing her again. "You really want this? Because you need to be sure this time, Dev. Do you want me?" The question was weighted. It meant so much more than just her wanting his body and a good fuck. Did she want HIM. The Koi she knew. The one incapable of emotion or giving anything outside of his selfish self. Did she want to feel all of the shit he would bring into her life...just to feel him inside of her? Did she want him?

Devyn - 15-12-2012 at 09:54 PM

She wouldn’t have been able to take it. If she paid attention to anything in her life outside of this room, right now, she wouldn’t have been able to take it. What was waiting for her outside? Her aunt, whom she’d probably worried into a coma; a cousin that would tell her she wasn’t shit for making Athena worry the way she had, and the reality that her mother was dead. There was nothing she wanted outside of this space…with him. She’d been here for less than 12 hours and in that time Koi had done the one, simple thing that she had never gotten anyone else to do. He stayed. Everyone abandoned her. Her father, her brother, the boys that had pretended to like her, the “friends” that were there for the ups and missing for the downs…No one stayed. Eventually, at some point, everyone left her…Look at her mom…No, Devyn wanted to stay exactly where she was with exactly who she was with. Because she knew he actually cared. He cared what happened to her and he cared how she felt and that was…it was all she was willing to acknowledge. The rest of it would wait. Her pain would wait. Right now, she was happy and Koi was the reason.

And he would keep being that. He wouldn’t tell her no. He couldn’t. The thought hadn’t even crossed her mind as she rested atop him, waiting for him to tell her that this was okay. That they were okay. But it seemed there wasn’t much to say, his hands trailing up her thighs, over the hips he loved so much, rubbing over her stomach before—God. She inhaled sharply, her lip catching between her teeth as she watched him. She knew he wouldn’t tell her n—what? No. No, what was he doing?

His explanation came as quickly as his hands had fallen away from her. I’m not gonna hurt you again… Of course he wasn’t. Not Koi, never Koi. He couldn’t hurt her, she knew that for sure. Nothing he said, nothing he did would change her mind about him. She was here. She was here for him and just like he’d done for her, she wasn’t going anywhere. Did she want him? She knew he meant more than physically. He meant him; all of him. He was asking her if she was here for all of his shit like he had already proven he was for hers. To Devyn the answer was obvious.

She reached behind her, unhooking her bra before slipping out of it, tossing it in the direction her shirt had gone. Her hands came to cup his face, tilting his head up to look her directly in the eye. Her lips fell to his once more, lingering for just a moment before she pulled back, her hands remaining at his face.

“I want you.”

Koi - 16-12-2012 at 06:20 PM

If Devyn kept dropping clothes the way she was, Koi knew that a "smart" decision was out of the question. Biting his lip, he watched as she unclasped her bra and pulled it off before he could even object to her dropping another piece of clothing. Fuck, she was making everything so damn...difficult for him. He didn't even want to THINK the word "hard". Not at that moment. Not while Devyn was tossing her bra to the side; the curves of her body that he'd tasted but barely seen through the darkness of his living room the night of his party were on full display. His fingers twitched as he stared at her, aching to stop with the "good guy" role and just...touch her. Grab out at her. Be the "Koi" he was with the rest of the girls he slept with and...not give a shit. Not wait for her permission. But...Devyn wasn't every or any other girl. She was...she was "Dev". His best friend. His "Ace". His... Her hands on his face brought his eyes to hers, tearing them away from the gaze he held on her breasts. And there it was, another kiss on his lips. So sweet and innocent that he almost couldn't believe that she was topless, straddling his lap. So quiet that he could barely hear her, she spoke.

I want you.

That was her answer. She wanted him. All of him. The bad shit and the good. The gentleman that barely reared his head and the asshole that always did. She wanted him. And if Koi should've stopped and thought about whether she'd seriously thought her decision through, he couldn't anymore. Not with those words and with the look in her eyes. Just like before...she needed him. She needed him to be the friend that he always would be. The friend that would give her what she needed. The friend that would make the world around her disappear...just for a moment. He'd do that for her.

Without a word, Koi's lips touched hers again before she could completely pull away from him. He felt his lips pulling at her with every kiss, her head lowering again as her chest rest against his. His toes curled at the sensation, a soft groan falling from him. His hands left their resting place on her thighs, rising higher to the curve of the hips he couldn't resist touching...holding...the feel of her underneath his palms bringing back memories that really never left. Them beside his pool, his hands on the inside of her thighs, parting her legs as he lay between them. His fingers getting adventurous, touching every crevice. His lips tasting hers. Shit. His hands moved to the front of her shorts, his fingers twisting at the button that held them closed. The zipper went down as his lips caught her lower one before he broke the kiss...and wrapped his arm around her waist, softly flipping her over and placing her on the bottom, her back falling to his sheets.

Devyn - 18-12-2012 at 12:43 PM

She wanted him. She wanted this. In a twisted kind of way, she felt like they were destined for this. This cycle of pissing each other off, getting over it, and making up in the way their bodies had been drawn to since their first smoke in the courtyard. This was what the two of them were going to be doing for a long time coming and that was...it was what she wanted. Her friendship with Koi was going to be painful and messy and tiring. But when it wasn’t being all of those things...it was going to be great. As great as it had been since the moment she’d arrived at his door. The two of them would be perfectly imperfect with one another and that was what she wanted. Among other things...

Devyn moaned as his lips came to hers again, their chests meeting as he finally gave her the ‘yes’ she’d practically begged him for. Finally...She felt as if she were melting into him, her hands pulling at his face as their kiss deepened, his tongue parting her lips and starting the dance the two of them were so accustomed to. God. His hands moved from her hips to the front of her shorts, his fingers playing at the button before pulling at the zipper. He wanted them off. Hell, she wanted them off. She sighed as he moved again, his arm wrapping around her waist before he broke the kiss he’d started. Before she knew it, Devyn was on her back, her legs still clinging to his waist as her body rolled against his. Fuckkk. His name escaped her in a moan and it was her turn for her hands to travel between them, lifting the bottom of his t-shirt as her hands met his waist. She dragged them up his torso, stopping when she could go no further.

Devyn leaned up, her lips hitting Koi’s ear as she whispered to him what she wanted, “Take it off.” She wanted it gone. She wanted to feel him without barriers, she wanted to see him. She wanted him… Why couldn’t she stop thinking that. The phrase, ever since she’d told him, had been on repeat in her mind as they explored one another. She wanted him. And that want was quickly becoming a need…

Koi - 18-12-2012 at 03:15 PM

Her legs were near vice-like around his waist, speaking in a way that her mouth couldn't. Wouldn't...not that night. Koi had a feeling that there wouldn't be many words between them that night. There would be moans, a few soft groans, and the occasional quiet purr from her. But her legs, tightly wound around him as he rolled them over and put her underneath him... Her heartbeat, pounding between their touching chests... Her entire body...all of it was doing enough "speaking" for Koi. He listened to her...to them. Her lips opening to him, the sound of their kisses sounding in his ears. His body shifting on top of hers, hands rubbing up the length of her thick thighs and grasping at her satin skin. Her body...rolling and pressing against his...like if she kept trying, there was a way they'd become one. His name...rolling in a moan like a way too familiar way from her. This was familiar. All of it. The touching, her body against his, the way her movements set his skin on end...electricity firing from every nerve. This was them. This was what they were supposed to do. What they were meant to do since day one. It'd always been like this...bodies answering...habit that neither of them knew they had. Like they were fucking addicts taking a hit after a wait that was way too long. Responding to each other without any hesitation. It was insane...but at the same time, it made perfect sense.

But...this friendship. What the fuck did that mean anymore? Friendship wasn't a word they had because "friends" didn't crave the inside of their "friend's" thighs. And "friends" didn't daydream about this exact moment every time they looked at "friends". That word didn't apply to what he and Devyn were. They were something more. Down ass for each other, knew each other inside and out...and the answer to everything they craved. What the hell was that called? Friends with benefits? Lovers and friends? Fuckbuddies?

Take it off...Devyn's fingertips at the bottom of his shirt met with the command from her mouth, her voice breaking the thoughts that clouded what was really important. Koi leaned towards her lips, falling in the quick moment where the fullness rubbed against his lobe. He bit his lip, pulling away from her, his eyes keeping the meaningful stare that hers held as he sat up and lifted the bottom of his shirt, gathering it around his chest. He reached over his shoulder, grabbing the shirt from his back and pulling it over his head, throwing it in the pile that their clothing was beginning to make. And maybe...they should've added more to the pile...

There was no asking when his fingers found the edge of Devyn's already loosened shorts...and the underwear she wore underneath. At the same damn time sounded about right. There'd been enough hesitation in the past when it came to Koi and Devyn. This time wouldn't be a close call...and Koi made sure of that as he pulled her clothes over her thighs and down her legs, giving that clothes pile two more items to add to the heap.

Devyn - 18-12-2012 at 05:33 PM

Why did they have to call themselves anything? Devyn didn’t care, so why did Koi? Friends, lovers, lab partners, whatever. What they called it didn’t matter. What mattered was the way their hips were connecting now, the way his groans were sending chills over her body, the way their bodies were responding…like they usually did. If she’d believed in past lives and all that she’d have been sure that she and Koi had crossed paths before. This kind of passion didn’t simply happen and it didn’t just crop up. Even the few times they’d been interrupted before this, they’d been…familiar. In sync. As if this were as natural as breathing. As if they’d only ever done this with one another and nothing and no one else outside of them knew this…experience. That’s what he could call this if he had to put a name to it. She and Koi were and experience. A once in a lifetime chance that they were lucky enough to share.

But right now what they were wasn’t important. What they were doing was all that mattered. To her anyway. It was working. What he was doing for her—what he was doing to her was working. There were no thoughts outside of what she wanted next and that’s how she liked it. Quiet, save for his groans, her moans, and his name. It slipped from her lips just before she made the request for him to lose the shirt, her teeth nipping at his ear lobe before he pulled away from her to take it off. Her hands fell away from him as she watched. Head resting where his had just moments ago and she watched as he pulled his shirt up and then off, tossing it into the growing pile of clothing she had started. Shit. It was like he was chiseled. Carved out of marble to perfection…she wanted to touch him. Honestly, she wanted to do so much more than that.

As did he it seemed, his movements not stopping as his hands came to the shorts he’d already undone, pulling both those and her underwear over her thighs and off, tossing them aside too. They’d never gotten this far before. Never in his room, never in his bed, and never with her lying naked beneath him, waiting for him to do whatever he pleased to her…They’d never been so close…Devyn sat up a bit, her lips kissing his bare chest before beginning a trail up meeting his neck, then his jawline, then his lips, lingering there as their kiss began again, her hand meeting the back of his neck as she pulled him back on top of her. She was ready. Foreplay had always been their downfall and she didn’t want that tonight. There was no going back now and she wanted to make sure he knew that.

Their kiss didn’t break as her free hand slipped between them, dipping into his shorts and gripping his—mmmmmm. Devyn moaned into his mouth, her hand beginning a slow stroke on his already hardening length. There was no going back. Devyn knew that and now she was sure that Koi knew it too.

Koi - 19-12-2012 at 05:24 AM

Leaning over her, Koi couldn't help but pause for the shortest part of a second...and look at her. Devyn's body was amazing. This was the first time...ever...that she had been this way. Unclothed. Naked. Completely uncovered underneath him. Even in the darkness of his room, he saw the beauty in her skin. He knew she was be like this. The curve of her breast. The way her waist rounded into those the two hips he was obsessed with. Her thighs, full and shaped like some higher being molded them with his own hands for some higher purpose that went way beyond Koi's hands. That sexy triangle that her slightly closed thighs made around her center. He could've stared at her for hours. And that was saying a lot. This never happened. Not with other girls that had laid in the very spot that Devyn occupied. He never took the time to...appreciate them. To see them outside of any purpose but being inside of them. He never took a moment. With Devyn, every thought combined. He wanted to stare at her, take her in until he knew every pore on her skin, but...goddamn he wanted to touch her. He wanted to touch her in every place...all at once...just to say he'd touched every inch of her.

But before he could even think about where beginning and ending would be, he watched her sit up so that she could reach him, her lips touching his chest, his skin heating every place her lips touched. He could barely hear the moan his own body made as his eyes closed to her touch. The trail her lips made lit torches underneath his skin, making a pathway from his neck, to his jaw and then to his lips, hers staying there until he turned the kiss into something else. His lips pulled at hers, catching her bottom one between his two. He felt her pull at him, her hand at the back of his neck as their kiss got stronger and a lot more crazier. Intense. He sucked at her tongue as he leaned on top of her, his hips pressing into the space between her thighs, leaving just enough room for his hand to get between him and...

She beat him to the punch. Damn. A curse slipped from his mouth and into hers, meeting her moan as he felt her hand slide into his shorts and touch him. He had to keep himself from jumping from the suddenness of her hand against him, stroking at his length. He let out a shaky breath, pulling away from the kiss, his eyes closed against the feeling of her touching him, rubbing him. Mouths weren't talking that night. Only lips, heartbeats...hands. Devyn's hand was shouting at him. No stalling tonight. And Koi wasn't about not giving Devyn what she wanted that night.

Their kisses met new levels every time their lips joined, his touching hers, opening to hers, their tongues entangled. His back arched at the feeling her hand was making inside of his shorts, the rhythm coming together with every caress, making his body respond. Balancing on his arm, he hovered over her, his other hand busy pulling at the side of his shorts, lowering them past his thighs. There wouldn't be anything that got between he and Devyn that night. No distractions...on clothes. He wanted every part of him touching her. Just skin.

With his shorts gone, Devyn went at him harder. Her hips made circles against him as she rubbed at his length, her hand making him so hard he could barely stand it. He could barely stand...waiting anymore. He didn't have to wait now. She was here, ready for him. Shifting his hips, he touched her thighs...and he felt them tremble beneath his palms as his hands slowly rubbed all the way to...her. Devyn opened for him, her legs spreading enough to invite him in. She'd been waiting. He'd been waiting...for this. For her. For the moment he could be deep inside of her. The wet "her". Inside of that pink. Pleasure rippled down his back as he answered their wait, taking her hand that held his impatient length underneath his own...both of them guiding him into her.

Devyn - 19-12-2012 at 09:23 AM

They were getting reckless. As their lips met again and Devyn pulled him back on top of her something seemed to click and the both of them got…hungry. She could feel it in the way their kiss intensified, their lips, tongues, and moans twisting together in the harmony that their bodies were used to. Her hips bucked against his, one of her legs coming back up to his waist in a silent request for more. One that she punctuated as her hand slipped into his shorts. She giggled a little as he cursed, his body responding to her touch becoming still before he caught himself enough to pull out of their kiss. She loved it. Knowing that just her touch was enough to send electricity through him had her wondering what might happen when he was finally ready to fall into her. Soon…

Sooner than she thought it seemed as Koi had grown anxious. With her every stroke of her hand he fell further and further into her, his back arching to meet her stoke as his hips fell into rhythm too. God, she was ready. She might have told him so, but she couldn’t bear to stop tasting him long enough to speak. She wanted this. Their kisses, their closeness, but God, she wanted so much more. She needed it. Him. And as if he could read her mind his hand pulled at his shorts getting them off and out of the way. She was so hot. She felt feverish and her temperature only rose as his hands met her thighs, a shiver the exact opposite of her rising temperature rippled through her. This was it. And it was, her legs spreading for him as his hand met hers and they both guided him inside her.

The kiss broke. Her moan was louder than it had been before. Probably louder than it should have been as he slid slowly into her, his name leaving her lips blending into yet another moan as their hips met, her back arching and pushing him deeper. Fuckkkk. He felt so good. They had waited for this moment for a year and a half. Since he invited her to his “kickback”. Since they shared their first dance. Since…shit..

Devyn lost her thoughts as he slid out of her, only to fall back in as they built a rhythm. Her lips found his again as her arms wrapped around his neck pulling him closer, making sure he could feel every roll of her body against his. This was what she’d asked for. This was what she wanted. She wanted him.

Koi - 19-12-2012 at 01:40 PM

He was gone. Any thoughts of going back or stopping had gone a long time ago and now, nothing...no thoughts existed. He was in one place and that place was in her. In Devyn... It seemed that it had taken forever for them to get to the place where they were now. He, inside of her...pushing past the lips that began the silence in his head and into the depths of her. She felt like bliss. She felt like every motherfucking drug known to man. A electric high lay between her thighs, energy pulsing through every nerve in Koi's body as she surrounded him. Even drawing out of her made his eyes lull, the ripples inside of her rubbing against him and his name, mingled in a moan from her lips. Like the drug she was, he needed another hit as soon as the first one ended, his next thrust coming quicker than the first.

Their hips met as he slid into her again, Devyn's arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him to her...closer, her body rolling into his thrusts, pushing his body deeper into hers. He flattened himself against her chest, his face inches from hers. He met her eyes, quickly finding their rhythm as he pushed in and pulled out. The sudden eye contact made warm shoot all over his body. He knew his cheeks were flushing bright ass red, like they usually did when he was deep in it. But that night, he knew the shit was worse. Devyn was bringing out something...deeper in him. Every push inside of her was ten times more...intense. Every touch from their skin was...he couldn't explain it. He couldn't think hard enough to find a word. He could only see one word that didn't make sense, but it did. Fire. Thank fucking god that the room was dark...

One thrust followed another one and pretty soon, the end of one flowed into the next one. Koi's hands left the bed where he steadied himself and found her waist, holding on to her, griping flesh as he pulled her into his thrusts, his chest still pressed against hers. His body rolled on her, his thrusts getting stronger as he lowered his face to hers, kissing her chin as his thrusts arched her back. His mouth curved into a smile as he watched Devyn lose herself in him, letting the feeling their joined bodies made wash over her. He loved her sex faces... The little furrow in her brow. The way she bit at her full lips. Everything...all of it...turned him on. As the sound of their dull, slow thud magnified, he felt himself moan out, his kiss becoming a suck. His mouth moved to her neck, his back arching as he pulled at the soft skin there, tasting her. His tongue flicked out at the side of her neck, his breathy, quiet moan falling there. She tasted like she felt. Smooth. Addicting.

"You taste like sex, babe...damn." He whispered against her skin, his thrust slowing as he sat up, his hands sliding to her thighs. Pulling them away from his waist as he held them and pushed her knees to the bed, spreading her to him. Hovering over her, he slid into her again, a new moan falling from her at the new feeling the position brought. He smiled again, his hands pressing down harder as his thrusts answered her moan.

Devyn - 20-12-2012 at 07:12 AM

Moans, whimpers, whines. Devyn couldn’t control them as Koi delved in and out of her over and over, every thrust more intense than the last. She couldn’t think. She couldn’t even see, her eyes refusing to open as she let the sensation he was making between her thighs take over completely. She was out of it. Completely gone as their rhythm grew faster and stronger and—fuck. A small scream escaped her, her head falling back as her back arched up. She felt Koi’s lips meet her chin and she smiled, licking her lips before her teeth caught the bottom one. She’d never felt like this.

Koi was doing something to her that she had never experienced. A virgin she was not, but sex had never been like this with anyone else. She…felt with Koi. Beyond the physical. If was funny; she had started this to get away from her feelings. To let go of her thoughts and just…escape. But she hadn’t been able to turn off everything. She was making it completely obvious how into this she was, the sex. Her moans, the sighs, his name falling from her lips whenever she found the strength to speak. But there was more that her body couldn’t say…and her lips probably never would. Not after what he’d done for her. She liked him. More than a friend, and certainly not like a brother and part of her felt like that was half of the reason sex with him felt like this. Like she’d always known it would…a-fucking-mazing…

She cursed as his kiss turned to a suck at the side of her neck, surely leaving a mark that she wouldn’t mind explaining to anyone that asked. A small reminder of what they’d done here, a reminder of every sound, every touch, every word. Her thoughts paused at the sound of his voice beaking through the sound of their bodies meeting, telling her what she tasted like…Damn…Why was everything he did a turn on? She tried to respond, but all that escaped her was yet another whine of pleasure as Koi slipped deeper into her before his thrusts slowed. She felt his hand slip from the grip he held on her waist, sliding down her thighs as he pushed her knees into the bed. He slid into her again and she felt herself start to give. She moaned out as their pace picked back up, her hands gripping the sheets beneath her as she squirmed under him, the control she had slipping with each thrust.

“Koi, I-,” she stopped, a moan interrupting her words. She licked her lips before she tried again, sure she still wouldn’t be able to get out what she was trying to say, “Oh my God, I’m-,” She couldn’t finish, but it became obvious as her thoughts manifested themselves and she came, Koi still moving swiftly in and out of her. He didn’t have to stop. Hell, she didn’t want him to. This was the first of many…

Koi - 20-12-2012 at 10:02 AM

Koi, I- Devyn's unfinished words were lost on Koi, his mind was somewhere else...her thighs and the thrusts he was making between them. Not that he wasn't listening to her. He was...her moans. The dumb sexy whines that she released when her words mingled with a groan. Her sighs, breathless at something that Koi was doing to her. Something he was doing. And all of those sounds were music to his ears. She was musical...sex sounds blending together like the sweetest symphony. But her words? He wasn't sure he could even comprehend any of it at that point. He was so deep in her. So lost in here that even trying to understand anything outside of melody she was making was pretty pointless. But that moan? The one that interrupted his words? He heard that one, adding his own to it as he drew in and out of her, his strokes faster than when he'd started, but slow enough for her to feel every one of them. His eyes narrowed at his gaze on her, her body still stuck by his touch. She licked her lips and behind her closed lids, Koi knew her eyes were rolling into her fucking head. She was enjoying it. Loving it And he understood. He was right there with her...

Biting his lip, he couldn't stop starting at her. The way her body rolled against his, twisting...moving. He even caught her running a couple of times, a small grin flickering on his face before he pushed against her thighs, bringing her back into him again. The way her body enjoyed his had him caught up, loving every moment of something that he'd waited for...wanted, but never saw happening. Good thing that fate did what it wanted to do. Because this? Her chest heaving, legs trembling, the sweet moans her mouth was making? Koi wouldn't have missed this for the world. And the more he watched, the more he wanted. His hips sped up, a soft groan accenting every thrust. But the part that stuck out? Devyn's next words.

Oh my God, I'm- Her body finished her sentence and her whole body seemed like it was...vibrating. She rippled around him as he kept the pace, pushing inside of her against the tightening between her thighs. If fucking her was heaven, then there had to be something higher because when she came, it was...nirvana. She'd reached enlightenment and so had he, barely keeping himself from joining her as her moved in her. Fate. As much as Koi hated the word, the bitch was his best friend now. He wouldn't have missed this for the fucking world....

"Fuuuuuck. Damn Dev..." He moaned, his thrusts slowing, her body still at a high he wouldn't try to stop. He would ride it out with her, keep moving in that new wetness she made between her legs. His head lowered and he sucked at her bottom lip...her mouth still open as her body came back to earth. He let go of her thighs, his hands moving from them...to her waist...to the breast he'd been neglecting the entire night. He squeezed them gently before he moved back to her legs, wrapping them around his waist and pulling her up and onto his lap, sitting her on top of him. His arm held her waist as he settled them on his bed, in the midst of his fucked up sheets. And his eyes looked up at her, hand moving to her breast, fingers going right to the hard nub that his mouth was hungry for.

"You done, Hips?" He whispered as he rubbed at her, his eyes only leaving hers to look at the tiny bud appear, his hand moving to cup her breast.

"You're not done yet...are you?" Another smirk from his lips appeared...and then he busied them as he lowered his head, his tongue touching her nipple before his mouth wrapped around it.

Devyn - 20-12-2012 at 06:17 PM

Devyn was dazed. Dazed and completely lost in the pleasure she was feeling and he was the reason. Koi Kidd. The boy she hadn’t properly spoken to in a year. The kid that she’d felt completely wrong by a year ago because he’d made the decision that they could only be friends...None of that was relevant now. She didn’t care if he claimed her, or called her buddy; hell, she didn’t care if he ever spoke to her again, as long as he didn’t stop making the feeling he was making between her legs right then, his length sliding into and out of her in the wet he’d created. She’d made barely a sound as she came, her mouth open as she tried to scream but…nothing. She couldn’t. That was a fucking talent…As cocky as Koi was Devyn could admit that he had a right to be. Damn it…Koi took in her bottom lip a soft suck at it as she finally came down.

She felt like she should say something…anything. Fuck, a simple thank you was in order, but all that came was, “Damn-,” She was breathless, her words a whisper simply because she didn’t have the strength for anything more…yet. His hands left her thighs, sliding up her body, gently squeezing her breasts before traveling back down the length of her. She smiled. She loved that he just…knew. Fuck, she still wanted to be touched. She wanted him to keep fucking her…But he’d stopped, more like paused, lifting her onto his lap so that her legs wrapped about his waist. He was still in her. Still ready…waiting for her say so.

You done, Hips? Done? Ha. Far the fuck from it, and as his mouth enveloped the nub at her chest she, knew he wasn’t either. A soft sigh left her as he sucked at her. “Baby, please, I would never disappoint you like that-,” she smirked, her hands coming to cup his face, pulling him away from her breast. She kissed him sweetly, staying for just a second before she playfully pushed him away, his body falling to the sheets as hers had before. A soft giggle left her as her hands rested on his chest and her hips started making slow circles against his. She was completely ready for round two with him. Completely ready to give back what he’d just given her. She smirked down at him, her pace beginning to speed.

“It’s your turn, babe.”

--The Morning After--

Sunlight did the job of waking Koi up way before his biological clock had the chance. It peeked through the blinds that stayed pulled over his bedroom windows, crept over the side of his bed and right into his fucking eyes. But he had to admit...there wasn't a better way he could've imagined opening his eyes that morning. Sunlight wasn't the only thing he saw that morning. Mocha colored skin. The curves of her body making hills, rising and falling underneath his sheets. Black hair spilling over his pillow... Opening his eyes that morning was an amazing thing. Without touching her, he rolled out of bed, got dressed and did what anyone would've done like a night after the one they'd had together. He got some motherfucking breakfast...

A smile hit his lips...and he nearly dropped the Starbucks bag he held between his teeth, as his hands were too full of two cups of Mocha-latte-some shit. He didn't now what Devyn ate for breakfast. Okay, correction. He didn't know what Devyn ate for breakfast after a night full of fucking. Damn...which was the only word that Koi could say or think when the night he'd just had with Devyn replayed through his mind. He...couldn't believe half of it. If he hadn't been there for it, he might've called bullshit. Because none of that was what he thought their night was ending with. When Devyn had darkened his doorstep, he didn't think he'd be spending the night...inside of her. And he didn't know he'd be waking up to her the next morning...in just skin. No clothes between them. Just sheets. But that had been reality. Every single second of it...the scent of her on his skin telling the story of every thrust, every moan. Even that little whine she made when he...

Another smile flickered over his features as he climbed the stairs as quietly as he could. It was still early and the house was silent, although the sounds from his bedroom the night before probably disturbed the silence. Shit. And hopefully, the sounds hadn't made their way down the hall to Eri's room. Koi hadn't even thought about that. He hadn't even remembered that she was in the house until...way after he and Devyn had finished. And that had been bad enough. But if she'd heard anything? He would never fucking forgive himself. The spinach & feta wrap he'd left downstairs on the kitchen counter for her was already going to have to make up for the way he'd dismissed her the night before. She was obviously worried about Devyn and they'd pretty much disappeared for the night...without a word. Eri was probably mad as hell. Koi would deal with her later. For now? He had a "morning after" to work through.

Pushing the door open a bit with his foot, he peeked into the dimly lit room.

Devyn - 31-12-2012 at 04:52 PM

Devyn moaned a little, giving a small stretch as a smile pulled at her lips. It had been a hell of a night. She had always wondered what a night with him with be like...She hadn’t thought far enough out of the box. Every touch, goran, moan between them had been perfect. Intense. She had never felt the way Koi had made her feel as he explored her last night. It was...passionate and...more than any other friendship had ever given her. Her smile grew a little at that thought. Friends. The word that would define the two of them for lack of anything better to call one another. And she was okay with that. If he didn’t want to, they didn’t even have to talk what they’d done; what they were. What they were was Koi and Devyn. Two people that enjoyed one another’s company through the good shit and kept one another sane through the real shit...What more could there be?

Opening her eyes she let her hand reach for...nothing. Where was Koi? Devyn’s hand smoothed over the empty space he had claimed beside her before sitting up completely, pulling his sheets over her chest. Where the hell was he? Her first thought was to call out for him, but she had no idea who was home. If she did that and Eri was the one to come to her she’d die...Oh god! Was his mother home?! If she was the one to find her she’d probably kill herself...Mother...Devyn sighed, feeling that familiar drop in the pit of her stomach that she would probably always get when she thought about her now...Her mother was gone...She was alone...

But not for long. As if on cue, Koi’s bedroom door opened, his head peeking through the crack as a smile found her lips again. “Hey-,” She said quietly, a small giggle leaving her at the sight of him with a starbucks bag in his mouth. He brought breakfast. Who knew Koi Kidd could be so sweet? She watched as he came back to bed, passing her one of the cups in his hand before placing the bag he had on the bed. “You know you don’t have to try this hard, right?” she laughed a little. “You already slept with me.”

And he could again, that was for damn sure.

Koi - 1-1-2013 at 07:55 PM

Hey. It took one word from Devyn to make Koi break into a smile again as he wedged himself through the cracked bedroom door and pushed it closed quietly with his foot. She was awake, though. That was okay. He just...kind of wanted to be there when she woke up. Devyn knew the Kidd. And she knew his habits...like the one he had of waking up and leaving the girl he'd just been with the night before in his bed...alone. Without a word. And he knew Devyn knew because he'd headed to her place to kick it plenty of times, fresh from a night with some overly anxious girl who was just as unimportant as her forgotten name. But Devyn...wasn't like that. She was his "chick homie"...a name that Koi probably wouldn't call her to her face again. Not after the night they'd had together... It didn't...fit anymore.

A quick nod served as a greeting as he walked to the bed, his footsteps falling as lightly as they could. Devyn's eyes never left him and his...they didn't leave hers either. She looked...different...that morning. Her lips smiled a little sweeter. Her skin glowed as the morning light that streamed through the blinds touched it. And her eyes...Koi never noticed it, but they kind of...sparkled. He stored that fact in his memory as he arrived at the side of the bed, passing Devyn one of the cups in his hands to her. Her next words made him laugh, his lips curling into a smirk.

"You call this 'trying hard'?" He chuckled softly as he sat on the bed, sat his cup on his side table and went to pulling off his Jordans. Trying hard? He hoped she was joking. Breakfast had nothing to do with getting back between her thighs...although that was something that he would've loved to do again. Anytime, really. But, that had nothing to do with his actions. He just thought...that maybe...after all that fuckin'...she'd be starving like he was.

"I call it...'feeding you'." He said, looking back at her as he pulled his shirt over his head. Before he thought it through carefully enough, he leaned back and into Devyn, his back pressing against her chest. His fingers pulled at her chin, his lips finding hers easily. There weren't any underlying intentions. He just...he didn't know. Even after the night they'd had...he knew what had started it. Her mom. And if he couldn't forget, he knew Devyn couldn't either. He just wanted...to take care of her. Make sure that she was okay. Be the friend that he knew she'd be if he was in the same position. He'd done that. At least he'd hoped he had. He'd held her when she needed to be held. He touched her when she needed to be touched. Her body was happy, he'd seen to it...a couple of times that night. But he wanted all of her to be happy.

Breaking the kiss, Koi slid out of his shorts...his boxer briefs following before he slid back into bed beside her, his body touching hers as they pulled half of Starbuck's breakfast menu from the bag in silence.

"So..." He started, breaking the short silence as he took one of the breakfast wraps for himself. "How you feeling?"

Devyn - 2-1-2013 at 02:16 PM

Leaving her to fend for herself? Nope. The thought never even crossed Devyn’s mind. Yeah, she knew that was his M.O. Koi wasn’t the “stick around for the awkward after” type. Devyn imagined it was like that when you woke up next to someone who’s name you didn’t remember. But he knew her name. He knew her. Just like she knew he wouldn’t do her like that. She wasn’t his usual late night and she knew that. She knew it for fact when his head peeked into that room with coffee and food in hand. Something she was quite positive no other girl he’d...”entertained” had ever been presented with. So no. She didn’t think there was anything to worry about when she woke up to Koi being away and as he made his way back to bed, her worries about all of the other shit in her life began to lessen too...

He had that effect on her. It was the main reason she’d shown up here when she found out...She knew Koi was the one person that could make her forget. Forget everything that wasn’t the two of them. Cooling, kicking it. It ended up being more than that, but she wasn’t complaining in the slightest. She was...happy, while she was with him. She was as happy as she possibly could be with everything that had happened over the last 24 hours and while that probably wasn’t saying much at all, her smile didn’t fade as Koi questioned her, asking if she thought this was him trying hard. Not necessarily. She just knew it wasn’t the norm for him and his...conquests. What she really meant was that...he didn’t have to do this. To be something he thought she wanted. This was sweet. Great even, but she’d already told him. She wanted him. The real him...But she was probably reading too much into something as simple as what he called ‘feeding her’. Nothing out of the ordinary to find one friend treating another to breakfast...They just so happened to have had sex the night before this breakfast.

“Well thank you-,” she said watching as he took his shirt back off before leaning back into her and pulling her lips to his. She fell easily into the kiss her lips parting for him as she fought the smile that was pulling at them as well. How did he keep doing that? How did he keep her smiling at a time like this? She should be thanking him for a lot more than food, but she was trying to avoid being too deep about much of anything. She didn’t want to put any pressure on him because there wasn’t any. The last time they’d gotten hot and heavy with one another they ended up not talking for a year because of what she wanted. She wasn’t taking that chance this time. She couldn’t lose him...She couldn’t lose her reason for smiling.

He broke the kiss and Devyn watched as Koi pulled off the rest of his clothes and climbed back into bed beside her. Getting closer to her, he picked the bag up from the bed and they began digging through what looked like all of the food Starbucks had on hand. Devyn chose a raspberry scone to nibble at first as Koi took one of the wraps and then...How are you feeling? That was a complicated question. She was feeling a lot of things at once and explaining it was...

“I’m...I don’t know-,” She paused, biting the scone and waiting for the right word to come to her. “Broken?” she guessed as she swallowed. That sounded about right...and it was honest. “But you helped-,” she said nudging him a little. That was true too.

Koi - 15-1-2013 at 05:11 PM

Broken. The word didn't sound strange coming from Devyn. Not to Koi, it didn't. He hadn't expected anything opposite that word, to be honest. Broken... it was about right, wasn't it? Devyn had just lost her mother. The only one she had. Koi didn't know the relationship between Devyn and her aunt, but he knew that no matter how good a caretaker she was or could be, she would never take the place of Devyn's mom. And Koi knew this because...because he couldn't imagine anyone taking the place of his. No matter their differences...no matter how much he felt he didn't know her anymore, no one could replace her. He had love for his Moms. Serious love. Back in the day, before the shit hit the fan, she was a different person. She laughed...she smiled. She hugged him on the regular...and she knew him. Really knew him...inside out. Now all that Koi saw of that woman was the corroded shell that all of his father's shit left behind. His Pops made her a stranger...but Koi nearly hated her because she LET him. And even with all of that, he could never lose her. Losing his Moms would be his breaking point. Broken was correct. Koi could understand "broken".

Nodding his head, Koi took a big bite out of the wrap. "Yeah..." He mumbled between chews, agreeing with her words...falling silent again long enough to hear the next ones. He helped. That was right. He did. He'd helped. Instead of making the situation worse or fucking up with something stupid that he'd said or done, he helped her. And it made him feel...he didn't know...like he didn't fuck up everything he touched? That entire night and the morning following had been...a sort of relief. Watching her fight sleep before her eyes finally drifted close, a soft smile on her lips. Seeing her eyes light up when she saw him that morning. Hearing the words she was saying now. All of it made "You're a Fuck Up" song that played on repeat in his head turn down a notch...play a little softer.

"Oh, I did?" He questioned playfully, nudging her back as they both laughed quietly. The silence between words came again, biting and chewing taking the place of words for a moment.

"I'm glad you came to me last night..." He admitted quietly, not really thinking that those thoughts would be words as they came out of his mouth. It wasn't like he felt he couldn't...say those things to her. He could tell her anything. She was...without a doubt...his best friend. He just hadn't seen them coming out so freely. Without hesitation.

"I missed you." Biting into his wrap again quickly, he smirked at her as he chewed, his gaze on her slipping as his smirk grew into a soft smile.

Devyn - 22-1-2013 at 05:37 PM

His response to her was playful, the ‘oh, I did?’ leaving his lips as if none of it had been as big a deal as she was making it. But it was. Because he had. Helped her. Koi was one of the very few people that she could say gave a genuine fuck about her...and it hadn’t been about the sex or anything that she could give him; it couldn’t have been because when she come to Koi, she had nothing. She was nothing. Her mother had just died and she was barely making any sense about anything and she had been...broken. Koi fixed her...Sure not completely, but like she’d said, he helped and it had been a whole hell of a lot more help than a simple, ‘oh, I did?’ could cover...and she liked that about him too. She loved that it hadn’t been a big deal for him. That he had been her rock at a time when...now wasn’t the time for this. She wasn’t going to dwell on her feelings about her mother, or how she ended up here with her reason for smiling. She was just going to enjoy it. She was going to enjoy breakfast. And as she took another bite of the scone she really had no interest in she let the silence settle between them and just enjoyed his closeness. The heat from his skin warming hers before his words did the same.

I’m glad you came to me last night... She was too. As many times as coming to Koi for anything had turned out to be a mistake, she would never look back on this time and see it that way. She didn’t know how to respond to him so she just smiled, her eyes unable to meet his for a reason she wasn’t really sure about. It might have been because there was more reason than one she was glad she’d come here...It might have been the fact that looking at Koi caused her to feel things she shouldn’t. She didn’t have much more time to think anymore about it as Koi told her the one thing she’d ached to tell him when she arrived yesterday. He missed her.

Her smile grew as she finally looked to him, only to have his gaze fall from her. He missed her. A year had gone by with the two of them playing voids in one another’s lives. It felt good to know that she had been the only one that could fill it. The feeling was mutual. “You missed the shit I do for you-,” she joked, poking at his side with her index finger. “Derrick’s slack ass probably still can’t roll for shit, huh?” Dev laughed a little, feeling some of the normalcy fall back into their relationship. Their friendship. She liked it…but they probably weren’t going to get too far into what they’d missed without one another.

The nagging voice in the back of her mind was pushing its way forward; she needed to get back home. Her aunt hadn’t seen her since the news. She’d probably called non-stop, Carter had probably scoured the city looking for her; all to no avail because she had been with the last person anyone would think of, but the only person she’d ever want to find her…She still had no idea where her phone was…

“Kid, I should probably go soon.” Her words were just above a whisper. She didn’t want to leave. She didn’t want to, but she knew it was the right thing. She knew she had to face…not now. Catching her bottom lip between her teeth she tried sucking it up again. The magic was fading. It was how it had been when she woke up. She was sure everything was fine and then reality struck her anew and everything was shit again. But not now. “I should probably shower before I do though,” the smile returned to her lips as she placed her half eaten scone back into the bag she’d gotten it out of before sliding to her side of the bed, his sheets falling away from her. She looked over her shoulder, “And by ‘I’ I really mean ‘we’.”

Devyn - 11-7-2013 at 08:46 PM

The Night of the Great Kitchen Confusion

She couldn’t find her fucking phone! She’d gotten dressed in record time, she hadn’t even bothered to shower like she usually did to keep her aunt from asking questions. She just had to...go. She had to get the fuck out of this damn house before some more shit went down and she was fucking tossed out of it! She couldn’t believe the shit that had happened downstairs. She had no idea how mistresses did shit like this! She hadn’t even done anything wrong and she felt used and disgusting. And she wasn’t upset because she’d been falsely accused...Well not totally. She was more upset about having to stand up and watch her best friend’s mom be reduced to tears over a shitty home situation with her husband. And the whole time, the entire fucking time, all she could see was her own mother. This was what it had been like for her. Knowing Hilton was out and about neglecting his family for other whores and simultaneously feeding poison into the streets. Sure, Dev had tried to imagine the pain her mother felt at the hand of her father. She’d seen her mom completely broken before so she thought she had a pretty good idea, but she was wrong. She was so fucking wrong! Because between relative happiness and ‘completely broken’, there was whatever had just happened in the kitchen downstairs. The inbetween that you had to continue to live with.

It sucked! It sucked so much and she had to get the fuck out of that fucking house before Koi could talk her out of it. But she couldn’t find the damn phone! She was on all fours, pulling his sheets this way and that trying to find it in the tangled mess, but it was nowhere. Fuck! She sighed and got up turning to check the couch in his room where things had started for them. She had just started giving it the once over when she heard his door open. She didn’t even turn to look at him as she started. “Kid, listen, I’m not mad and I don’t want any kind of apology. I just want to get my shit together-,” she stood then, an aggravated sigh on her lips as she finally turned to face him. She was about to ask if he’d seen her phone, but the words caught in her throat at the look on his face. She’d never seen Koi like this, ever. She’d seen him pissed, and blown, and even on the comedown from whatever he’d had the night before. But she had never seen him like this...

“Babe...-,” her eyebrows knitted together as she crossed the room to where he stood. Her arms fell easily around his neck, knocking the door closed in the process and holding him there. She wasn’t going to say anything. Hell, she didn’t know what to say just yet. She would just wait for him to tell her what he needed.

Koi - 15-7-2013 at 06:27 PM

For the first time in a long time, Koi just wanted to be numb. Not the numb that usually came with "three shots of Patron with a Perc on the side". No...he wanted the deeper numbness. The kind that started in your head and enveloped your entire body in it. The one that made you fall into the black where everything was dulled. No senses. No nothing. Just the numb. Koi hadn't had that kind of numb in years. That was the "numb" that got you sent to a "fancy rehab" in Utah that looked more like a warm and toasty camping lodge than a detox center. Well, at least that was where it'd gotten Koi. The crime wasn't nearly worth the time as he'd been sure he would've added "attempted suicide" to the laundry list of reasons why he was there in first place if they'd made him listen to Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" one more FUCKING time. THAT type of numb. It was the one that he craved, especially when shit got like this. When his invisible father became so much more visible because of his constant drama. When his mother ignored it all and drew into herself. When he felt as alone and deserted inside as he was on the outside. Things felt...hopeless. And the feeling of it sat on his chest, nearly keeping him from inhaling as he walked through the kitchen and began his way up the staircase, towards his room.

Fuck, he couldn't breathe. It was almost as if there was nothing to draw in as the air felt thick and still around him. Like them. Like their lives. They'd been living like this for so long that their lives were like reruns. Only the show wasn't so entertaining...because it was his. The same characters. The same plot. The same disappointment and the same avoidance. Every episode was the same. And Koi couldn't stomach it now like he couldn't stomach it in the past. The repetition of the same fucking thing, rerunning over and over again. And it wouldn't stop. It never stopped. It only got worse and the only person NOT avoiding it was the one that it affected the most. Eri didn't have to see what Koi saw as she was always removed from it. Protected. No one was protecting Koi. Koi got the ugly truth every time he stepped into the house to find his mother missing and his father gone. Everyone wanted to live a fucking lie... And even though he hated the lie, he understood the bliss in living it. Because the truth was fucking killing him.

His feet carried him up the stairs, his steps pausing as he came to his bedroom door, pushing it open. Devyn was still there. She hadn't left, but she looked like she had been in the process of doing so for awhile as she moved around the room, searching for something. What, Koi didn't know. He hoped she found it. He hoped she escaped his fucking shithole of a life before she got sucked any further in. That wouldn't happen to her, though. Because she, unlike him, didn't play a part in this fucked up show. She got to come and go as she pleased. Koi envied her. Even with her mother passing and her family seeming like almost as much of a mess as his was, he envied her. Because she got away. She moved to Kapuhai Reef and she escaped the bullshit in her life. And Koi wished he could do that. He wished he could take Eri and just...go. He'd leave his mother and father to live their shit lives on repeat.

Devyn spoke, her words matching her actions. She wanted to get out. Koi understood and wouldn't fight her. He got it. She'd reached a point that he'd felt way too many times and she was done. He wanted to tell her that. He wanted to open his mouth...say anything but...he couldn't. He couldn't even look at her.

Babe... He closed his eyes. He felt her presence near him, her arms around his neck. Her chest pressed against his. He heard her close the door. He couldn't...he didn't want...he didn't want her to see him like this. Stuck. Suffocating. Numb.

Devyn - 16-7-2013 at 01:03 PM

She didn’t know how to do this. She didn’t know how she was supposed to console him; especially because he wasn’t opening his mouth to tell her what was wrong...but she could guess, right? After the things that had been said in the kitchen, Devyn could pretty much guess how things were around here. Even without knowing exactly what was going on with Koi’s family, she knew it wasn’t good. She knew it was...this. Coming to your room to be as alone as you felt. Devyn remembered being here. After listening to her parents scream at each other over whatever the issue of the night was. After coming home to find her mom either high or passed out drunk because she was drowning her sorrows in substance. After being told some variation of ’I can’t deal with you right now and being brushed off like nothing...Yeah. She could guess what was wrong with him. She could look at him and recognize it, because she’d seen it in the mirror so many times.

She pulled away from him, one of her hands drifting to his before she pulled him further into the room, leading him to bed. She sat on the edge, pulling him down with her and they just...sat there. She allowed the silence to linger because she knew there was nothing she could say that would make things any better. There was never anything anyone could tell her about the shit with her parents. She would have loved answers though; answers to all the questions that popped up at times like these. Questions like how two people could hate one another so much, how they ever got together in the first place...She’d never had anyone give her those answers and sadly, she couldn’t give them to Koi now. So they sat there. His hand in hers as he stared at the floor and she stared at him...She hated this. She hated seeing him hurt.

“Koi...-,” she called to him, leaving the space at his side to kneel in front of him. She let go of his hand and cupped his face, lifting it to look at her. “Tell me what you need.” Koi’s eyes closed to the sound of her voice and she frowned. She knew that look too. He was embarrassed. He was embarrassed and he probably didn’t want her to see...this. But she’d been worse...If he just told her what he needed...She was hoping it was her. As crazy as it sounded, everything in Devyn would have been devastated if he asked her to go. She couldn’t leave him like this, he needed her. Or at least she wanted him to need her. Devyn only wanted to help and, God did she hope his pride didn’t get in the way of her doing it.

“Tell me what you need, kid and I’ll do it.”

Koi - 16-7-2013 at 05:20 PM

Koi didn't know the first STEP to..."this". The emotions. The hurt. The anger he felt at shit he couldn't control. He didn't know how to deal with any of it. He'd never known how. And he didn't know how to let someone help him do it either. Especially when in the past, it was just him. In the past...it had been easy. Smoke a little kush, down a couple pills, do a line. Fuck the feelings. It was all about the temporary release. But the more temporary the fix was, the more issues that weren't even his to have calloused the inside of him. The high didn't even fix that anymore. The only thing that fixed that? Well, Koi didn't do that anymore... Not for a long time, he hadn't. He hadn't needed to. Not that things were perfect but...he'd gotten use to it, he guessed. That night was different. That night reminded him that this shit would never be the norm. What Devyn'd seen. What he'd heard from his mother. None of this was normal. And that brought everything crashing down on him that night. That's what brought the suffocating fall of reality. Things would never stop getting worse...

Except... Except the feeling of being alone. He wasn't alone now...even if he'd wanted to be to avoid the embarrassment he'd felt. Devyn. She was here. She was here like she promised she'd always be...no matter if his pride wanted her there or not. And his pride didn't...want her there. His pride wanted her to get her stuff and just...leave him to it. Leave him to fix his shitty problems the way he knew how. Just him, a steamy bathroom and a razor. Because THAT sounded a fuck lode better than opening his eyes and looking at the pity on Deyvn's face as she pulled him out of their embrace, held his hand and led him to his bed. They sat, a space between them. Not touching, save for their touching hands. Koi, staring at the floor. Devyn, staring at him. He wanted to tell her to stop. He wanted to tell her to look anywhere but at the pain on his face. Look anywhere except the reddening in the whites of his eyes. His taunt lips pulled against his grinding teeth. Look anywhere but at him. But he couldn't speak...not while that suffocating feeling was still bearing down on him.

Koi. She was calling his name and he wanted to answer but he kept...staring. At that spot on the floor. There wasn't anything special about it. The only thing about that spot was the fact that it wasn't Devyn's eyes. He couldn't look at her. He didn't know why. He just...he couldn't. And the pleading with him to say or do anything didn't help. He closed his eyes again, his head lowering to his hand. He rubbed at his brow, a twinge of pain starting there as the night's events threatened a full blown headache. And that's when he felt it. Them...Devyn's hands at his face. His eyes opened and immediately met hers as she kneeled in front of him. God, he couldn't look at the plea in her eyes. The need to know how to fix the unfixable. How could she fix something that wasn't hers to fix. This wasn't even her problem and like his issues usually did, they threatened to pull her under too. He wasn't letting that happen...this wasn't her fucking battle.

"No..." He said simply, his voice pushing through the heaviness of the night. He shook his head as he pulled her hands from his face. Instead of letting her hands go, he pulled her closer to him, his kiss was strange on her lips. The lust was missing. The pull at her. The want. There was only the avoidance that he WANTED to feel. The need. He needed to not fell anything. And that need was what he kissed her with, his lips meeting hers again as she hovered over him.

"No talking." He whispered, his hands moved beneath her shirt and cupped her breasts. Foreplay was for sex. He didn't want...sex. He needed...he needed her to fuck his feelings. He needed her to fuck him numb...

Devyn - 16-7-2013 at 06:36 PM

No...His voice was...different. Devyn couldn’t place it, but it didn’t sound like him. It was...empty. Devyn resisted the urge to wince at the sound of it as she let him move her hands before pulling her into him. His lips met hers, and that was basically all they did. Her eyes closed, but it was mostly for effect. She didn’t feel it. He wasn’t giving her anything to feel. The two of them were going through the motions, but none of it was right. None of it was...Koi. She might have asked what was happening, told him how off everything felt. She knew he felt it too. Hell, he was the one doing it, but as one kiss became another, somehow saying anything about it felt wrong. She told him to tell her what he needed. This was it...Besides, there was to be no talking. Devyn found herself nodding her compliance as he said it. She wouldn’t say a word. Not a sound, save for the ones she was sure he was about to make her make.

His hands slipped beneath her tank top cupping her breasts over the bra that was clearly in his way. She’d move it. Devyn’s hands took the hem of her shirt and pulled it off. Unintentionally, her eyes met his and for the first time ever she found herself wishing they hadn’t. Because for the first time ever she was nearly topless and he wasn’t looking at her. He was looking through her. This was a bad idea. Her brain was telling her that she shouldn’t do this and that it was a mistake...but she’d made a promise. She’d promised she wouldn’t leave him and she promised to give him what he needed. He’d been her everything the night she found out about her mom and she would be damned if she left him alone like this.

Her hands went to her back, unhooking her bra and tossing that away as well. Without pause she undid her shorts and before she knew it she was naked in front of him. She moved past him, crawling on all fours to the center of his bed before stopping. She stayed in that position, hopefully giving him the view he wanted as she traced her inner thigh with her hand. She teased herself a little before slipping two finger inside herself, moaning for him. All of this was for him...And she’d keep telling herself that to get through...

_______________________________________

He laid on his back on top of his sweat-damp sheets, his skin still flushed, red hot. It had been over for a while, but he could still feel her around him. He was so deep in her... He closed his eyes against the flashes of what had just happened between them in his bed. The sounds of her muffled moans...a pillow muting them. Her body thudding against his. Her eyes before they'd even started. Exhaling, he rubbed his palm over his damp face. He could still feel her next to him, her warmth...and he couldn't believe that she'd stayed with him after everything they'd just done. After everything she'd done for him. She stayed true to her word. She'd be there...and she'd stayed with him. She'd given him what he needed. But it wasn't like their first time...when she'd needed him so badly after her mother died that she'd come to him and he'd done the same. But it wasn't the same. There weren't any bite marks on him afterwards. Her skin wasn't red in some places from love marks that had nothing to do with "love". And she...she could look him in the eyes after it was over. Koi wasn't so sure he could do that...he wasn't so sure he could look at her at all.

But he did, her body lying under his sheets...next to him. She didn't touch him and the space between their bodies was a fucking cavern. It was unnatural. It wasn't them. What had just happened wasn't them. Koi had never touched her like that. He'd never been so...gone...before. And just like that, what he'd never wanted to do, he'd done. Brought her into it. Made her a device. Made her...used her. But the numb was gone. The suffocating pressure on his chest was gone and he was back. Devyn had given him that. Between her legs, there'd always been the sweetest drug. The taste of her made him forget. The feel of her around him made him oblivious. And when he came inside of her...he saw god. A razor didn't touch what she was... But just like every other drug he'd let into his system...how long would the high last?

"Dev..." He whispered to her in the darkness. Her body stirred, but she didn't turn to him. He looked at her as he slid closer to her, his warmth mixing with hers. The covers separated them as he wrapped his arm around her and touched her stomach, pulling her closer to him.

"Babe." He whispered, his mouth finding her ear. His lips teased her earlobe and kissed her neck softly. If she wasn't talking to him, he could understand. He didn't deserve another word from her...not with what he'd just done to her. What she'd let him do...

Devyn - 16-7-2013 at 08:00 PM

She hadn’t gone to sleep. When things ended and he finally released the death grip he’d held on her hips she’d slid to her side of the bed...away from him. Even the after was odd. Usually, when they were done, there was cuddling and cute remarks about the noises she’d made during. That wasn’t the case this time...She didn’t want to talk about the ‘during’. She didn’t want to talk at all. She kinda hoped he’d just fall asleep and she’d be able to sneak off to his bathroom for a shower. She felt...dirty. It was a simple word that meant so much in the sense that she was using it now. She felt both literally and figuratively unclean and it wasn’t because of the things they’d done...it was the way he was when they’d done them. Cold, distant...uncaring. That’s what it was. He hadn’t cared. As much as the two of them said it, this was the first time Koi had fucked her. And he did it like she was a fucking stranger...

The thought of it alone was enough to bring her to tears, but she wouldn’t do that next to him. Koi would never know how what just happened affected her. She wasn’t going to talk about this and she wasn’t going to cry about this. When he was okay again, he would apologize. She’d tell him not to worry about it and they would never, EVER, talk about this again. It was over now and there would never be any reason to bring it up again. So she would wait...She would wait on her side the California King with her back to him until Koi fell asleep...or called to her.

She heard him whisper her name through the dark. She sighed a bit, but she couldn’t turn to face him. It wasn’t that she couldn’t look at him, she just...she kind of didn’t want to be seen. But he persisted, pulling close to, her favorite of the pet names leaving his lips next. She closed her eyes to the sound of his voice. The right voice. The one that told her he wasn’t who he had been moments ago...His lips pecked at her neck and she allowed it but she couldn’t reciprocate. Hell, she could barely move with the things she’d just let him do to her. But he was talking again. That was good...Now was as good a time as any to try to ease things back into normalcy right?

She let her hand drift to the one he had on her stomach and allowed her fingers to fill the spaces between his. She wasn’t ready to speak yet, but she did want him to know she was listening.

Koi - 16-7-2013 at 09:01 PM

There wasn't another voice outside of his own in the darkness. Him calling to her...her not answering. The silence made Koi's whole chest go cold. The kind of frozen that comes with the realization of one thing. How much you fucked up. He knew he did. The second he rolled himself from on top of Devyn...the second he was himself again...he knew it. The entire thing was fucked, honestly. Just how fucked, he couldn't really say. But he could tell. He could tell in the way they turned away from each other after it ended... It wasn't the same. And something inside of Koi felt like it would never be the same because of what he'd done to her. Well...not what he'd done. He didn't hurt her...at least he didn't think he did. Her body responded...just like his had. But he couldn't remember. He couldn't recall the small details like her sex sounds...they way she'd touched him. The quickness of her orgasm. He didn't even know if he'd made her cum. He'd been numb. So blind, deaf and dumb to it all that he couldn't...he didn't want to remember. Any of it. But he knew, by the way that she curled on her side of the bed with her back to him. She remembered everything.

Even in the way she answered him now. No words, just her fingers intertwining with his as they pressed against her stomach. He kissed her neck again, his face nuzzling into her hair. They laid like that for a moment, him searching for the words to say to her in the aftermath. And her...silent. Koi wondered what she was thinking as she laid there, allowing herself to be held by the same face, the same smell...the same dude that had done to her what her Koi never would've. He'd fucked her. Fucked her without any remorse, feeling or emotion. And now, here he was...curling up to her after it all like the fucked up Mr. Hyde that he was. The numb was gone now and the only thing that was left was...shame. When everything felt so weightless afterwards, it was fucked up that Devyn had to pay the price for that weightlessness. And all Koi really wanted her to do was...say something...anything. Curse him out for treating her like that. Cry. Something. But all he got was her fingers between his...and her silence.

Sighing softly, his hand moved from her stomach and over her full breasts. His other hand touched her hip, pressing her harder into grooves of his body as his eyes drank the outline of her through the sheets. She was badd. Amazing. Beautiful. Every inch of her. And every inch of her didn't deserve the way he'd just handled her. No matter if she'd given her permission.

"Did I hurt you?" He asked as his arms replaced his hands. He wrapped himself around her, almost as if to protect her from the emotionless thing that had just left her side. He spoke softly, hoping that she would finally let him hear her voice. That maybe she'd feel safe enough to speak to him...to make him feel like the hero instead of a monster.

Devyn - 17-7-2013 at 05:55 AM

His lips pressed against her neck again and as hard as she tried she couldn’t resist the tensing her body made against his touch. This was just so strange. So...she didn’t understand it; she obviously couldn’t put a word to it. She didn’t have any words...which was why she wasn’t responding to his attempts to get her to talk to him. She wanted to. She wanted to ask if he was feeling better, if he was ready to talk about the things that had turned him into...no. Ugh, she didn’t even want to reference the last hour and a half of their time together. From the kitchen with his mother, to her frantic race to get the hell out of this house, to...what they’d just done. She was going to block it all out when this night was over. When she finally felt like he was okay enough for her to leave him, she would never think back to this night again and she would probably add Valentine’s day to the list of holidays she no longer cared for.

Devyn listened to Koi sigh, his hand moving from her stomach to her chest as the other came to rest on her hip again. Still she didn’t turn, but the bruise on her hip that she was now aware of caused her to wince a bit in the darkness. She could feel him looking at her, staring and waiting for her to say something. Anything...but she just couldn’t. Being honest, she knew that the main reason for not speaking wasn’t because she didn’t have anything to say...it was because she wasn’t sure if she could talk without her voice betraying her. She didn’t want him to know. She didn’t want Koi to feel any worse about any of what had gone down between them. She was okay...well she would be...

And he was giving her the chance to tell him just that, his mouth opening again to ask if he’d hurt her. He had. Multiple times and in a number of ways. She couldn’t stop moments of their time together from flashing in front of her. His hand yanking her hair as he arched her back to meet his thrusts, the biting of her shoulder, the complete opposite of the kisses he placed at her neck now...The way no matter how their position changed her back was always to him, as if looking at her was...Yeah. He’d hurt her...but she wasn’t going to dwell on it. She would be fine and this didn’t have to change them...She didn’t have to lose him. she pulled away finally, out of his embrace so that she could turn to look at him.

“No.” She said it quickly, not wanting him to think for even a second that she was upset with him about this. They would be fine...She would be fine. She leaned into him, closing the small distance between them as her lips fell atop his and they kissed. He was in it this time. Even if she had only half committed to the kiss they were sharing now, it was so much more real than the one they’d had before this started. She allowed it to linger, her tongue parting his lips before tasting him. It was Koi. It was Koi and she had missed him.

When the kiss ended she was able to speak, her forehead rested against his as her voice broke the silence around them, “Are you okay?”

Koi - 17-7-2013 at 02:38 PM

There was a tenseness between them that Koi had never felt when it came to he and Devyn. Yeah, he could admit that things between them had gotten had gotten "uncomfortable" before. Uncomfortable meaning out of fucking control. The very start of their friendship was a tribute to that. Things had always been up and down for them. They'd argued, they'd screamed, they'd yelled...hell, they'd even exchanged licks! But this? This moment was something of a different breed. The silence. It pressed in on them in the dark of the room. Koi felt the thickness of the quiet as he laid beside her, his arms wrapped around her as his lips touched her neck again. And he couldn't ignore what happened as he held her. Devyn tensed up. Her back straightened like a board against his chest. If even for a second, it had happened. He could tell that she'd tried to fight it, but he couldn't ignore it. She was afraid of him. What the fuck did he expect, though? He knew what it was like when he went dark. He was different. Scary. He didn't let himself feel anything...all "care" ceased to exist. And he'd let Devyn see that side of himself. And what was worse, he'd let that side of himself see her.

He never should've touched her like that. He should've told her to leave his room...his house. Just so he could get himself together. Just so he could have avoided...this. The silence. The awkwardness. All of it. Touching her felt foreign now. Almost like her body wanted to scoot away from him every time he tried to be near her. He could tell she wanted to shrug off his touch. Even his arms around her felt like a he held her against her will. Like she was prisoner inside of his embrace. And Koi hated that. He hated having been the reason why she could barely face him now. Even as he tried to hold on to her, she was as numb and vacant as he'd been minutes before.

That was why she surprised him when she stirred, her body turning towards him after he questioned her about the pain she may have been in. No. Liar. She was hurting. Koi knew it. He knew from the stiffness in his thighs how hard his thrusts were in to her. He knew by the pain in the centers of his hands how tightly he grabbed the skin on her hips when he was inside of her. And...he was raw. His skin felt like he'd been fucking sandpaper, a soft, uncomfortable throb there making him want to hold himself just to make it stop. He'd been...rough enough. But that wasn't worst part. The worst part was the entire time...THE ENTIRE TIME...he'd kept her back to him. They'd never had sex like that. It was always personal. There was always eye contact. They'd smile, mid thrust. She'd laugh as she moved on him, the happiness she felt showing for the depths of her eyes to the smile on her lips. What they'd just done was NOTHING like that. What they'd just done was...something of a different breed. There wasn't lust in it. They were just robotic dummies, fucking through the motions.

But Koi took her answer, loosened his grip on her as she turned to him and faced them, a fake kind of contentment in her eyes. She wasn't okay. He could see it there. He could feel it as she kissed him, her usually playful tongue following the motions of his. When their kiss ended, he touched her face, his fingers pulling through her curls.

Are you okay? "No..." He answered, his lips ending his words quickly. Without more of an explanation, he kissed her again, his lips pulling at each of hers with each peck. He didn't want to talk about the dark. He wanted the numb that she'd sacrificed herself for to stay there.

"Dont..." He whispered between kisses. "...ever let me do that to you again."

Devyn - 17-7-2013 at 04:21 PM

Are you okay? The was why she’d stayed. Devyn had stayed to make sure Koi was okay. It was all that had mattered to her before any of this and, strangely, it was the only thing she found important now. His well-being...His happiness. It was probably almost midnight and she had school in the morning. Her aunt was probably wondering where the hell she was...but that was the furthest thing from her mind as she laid beside him, and waited for her answer. Was he okay or was all of this for not? She couldn’t do it again. She wasn’t at a point mentally or physically to let him do what he’d just done again. not now, and probably not ever. She didn’t know if it was selfish or self-preserving, but she knew that it was true. Whatever she’d just had, with whoever she’d just shared it with could never happen again. She wouldn’t hold up.

But did she even have to worry now? That guy was gone. She knew Koi was back by the way his hand touched her face and his fingers pulled gently through her hair. There was a tenderness there that had been missing before. An understanding... Fuck. He knew. He knew she wasn’t okay...he knew it was his fault that she wasn’t...but none of that mattered to her! The soft throb between her thighs was a small price to pay to have him talking again. All of this...it was worth it if he felt even a little better...She couldn’t explain it, but it was the way she felt. Nothing was more important to her than Koi being okay. Since the night they’d promised one another they weren’t going anywhere, nothing had really been more important than him.

But as his reply finally came she allowed herself to frown. No? Why? What else could she do to change it? She might have asked him, but he kissed her before she could. It seemed the more they kissed the closer things got to normal. She felt her frown give way to a small genuine smile. God, she’d missed him. It was crazy how he could be inside her and feel eons away from her all at the same time...but he was here now, his lips pecking and pulling at hers the way they usually did. He was back and now he was working on bringing her back.

Don’t ever let me do that to you again. She knew it. In her mind, Devyn cursed him for knowing her too well. “Koi, stop it,” her hands came to his face as they continued to speak between kisses. She pulled away, but held eye contact with him, her fingertips drinking in the skin she’d barely gotten to touch in what they’d done. “I am fine, babe. Okay?” It was her turn to snuggle into him her arms wrapping around his waist as she rested her head on his chest. She was fine. everything would be okay between them now that he was back to her.

“All I care about right now is you...-,” she whispered her words, before pressing her lips to his chest. She meant that. She may have lied about being fine, but what she’d just said was true. “Do you want to talk about what happened downstairs?”

Koi - 17-7-2013 at 06:31 PM

Koi, stop it. He heard her, but he meant what he'd said. Stop what? Seeing things for the way they'd really gone that night? Koi didn't care how "fine" she told him she was or how "okay" everything was now. What had happened between them would never happen again. Even though he heard her voice and felt her touch through the darkness, he still knew how far they'd gone only moments before. He knew how far he'd pushed her. How close he should've been to losing Devyn completely. But she was still there, beside him...in the dark. Kissing him, her lips coming alive as they touched his. She wasn't leaving, she wasn't leaving him alone. And Koi knew why. The promise. It was the promise that they'd both made to each other. She wasn't going anywhere. And nor was he. Tonight had challenged that promise on her part, Koi had felt it in the distance between them. And if he could help it, he didn't want to ever feel that again. So, no. There wouldn't be a second time. He'd never use her to "numb out" again.

Her pleas of "okay" and "fine" had him sighing heavily as she pulled closer to him, her arms falling around his waist, her head on his chest. He kissed her hair as he let her lay against him, the feeling of her against his skin sinking in. She pressed against him again, the closeness that they usual shared returning. Things were going back to normal. He wasn't the monster anymore and she wasn't the drug. She was Devyn and he was Koi. And it felt fucking good to be back and to have her back in his arms. He closed his eyes at her words as she continued to speak, her kiss meeting his chest, making the nerves erupt underneath his skin. He wrapped his long legs around hers, intertwining them like a root embedding himself in her. Steadying himself in her.

Do you want to talk...? Koi's eyes opened again at her words. Talking? About downstairs? Wasn't that...the very thing that Koi was trying to avoid? Wasn't that the reason why he did what he'd done to her that night? Avoiding the drama that his parents caused. Ignoring the feeling of hopelessness. Numbing out everything that he couldn't deal with. Why the hell would he want to feel that again after everything he'd just done to make it all go away. Quietly, he lay in her arms. Thinking. He thought about her question to him and what responding to it meant. No. He wasn't ready to talk. He wasn't EVER ready to talk. Not about his family's situation. Not about his cheating father. And not about his "clocked out" mother. The only thing he ever allowed himself to discuss was Eri. Because Eri was around enough. Eri listened. Eri spoke. Koi knew Eri. He knew she existed. But his parents? Outside of basketball games and first day of school breakfast, they were ghosts. They were shadows of who they use to be. He didn't know WHERE to start. But did that mean that he didn't WANT to start? Start talking? Finally open up to someone outside of Dhonny who didn't find out about Koi's family's issues until they unraveled in front of him?

"I don't know." He answered her question truthfully. He didn't know. He didn't know how to say it or what to say. How the fuck did you tell someone that your Daddy was a cheater and your Mom was too caught in her make believe world of "It'll get better" that she no longer noticed or cared?

"I don't know...what to say, Dev." He stopped talking, letting the silence of the room wash over him again.

Devyn - 17-7-2013 at 07:18 PM

It was over. She could feel things ease back into normal as they wrapped themselves in one another, his legs overtaking hers, her arms holding him in the first embrace that felt normal that night. They were back. She was Devyn and he was Koi and the two of them were...together...Now that those things were true, she could figure out how to really help him. ANd they could start at what had happened downstairs. Devyn could feel his eyes on her even through the dark as she asked him about it. She knew he didn’t want to discuss it. Hell, she hadn’t shared her family drama with anyone. Ever. She’d never found anyone...worthy. She’d never found anyone that genuinely cared and even if she had, back home knowing things about Hilton Devereaux and his personal business was the kind of shit that made you go missing. She never had the option to share...

But Koi did. She was here to listen. She was here to help...if he wanted her help. A silence lingered after her question and she allowed it. She wasn’t going to rush him through this. He didn’t even have to do it if he didn’t want to. If he wanted he could tell her ‘no’ and the two of them would just lay here...maybe finish the movie they’d barely started, or do...something else. Almost anything else; it didn’t matter. They could talk or not talk, but either way she’d be there until he didn’t need her anymore. I don’t know. Neither did she. She knew how it was. She knew how hard it was to think about your fucked up family, let alone have fireside chats about them...She wouldn’t push him. Koi had nothing but time to get out what he wanted to. If he wanted to... But it seemed as if it wasn’t that he didn’t know if he wanted to talk...it was more of him not knowing what to say...okay...

“You know...my dad is a lot like yours...-,” he didn’t know how to start, but maybe she could help that. “A cheating, dirty bastard with not a fuck to give for anyone’s feelings but his own. No offense.” She was sure there was none taken because she’d met Shemar. Her description was spot on and his mother had only confirmed it when she attacked her in the kitchen. “You know...one day, me and my mom went out. I remember it was like August because we were picking up school supplies and shit and we came back and he was in the living room with one of his “others”. They were making the fuck out on my mother’s sofa like they were 14 year olds at a birthday party,” she stopped. He was right. This shit was hard. She’d felt her eyes fill before she’d even mentioned her mother and there was a lump in her throat threatening to suffocate her. But she wasn’t stopping.

“He, uh...He didn’t even say sorry to her. He and that bitch left together and he left me to pick up my moms pieces...A fucking 13 year old to clean up his shit...”

Koi - 18-7-2013 at 07:02 AM

When Koi thought about it, what could he say to Devyn about the shit that happened between her and his mother? How do you wrap countless years of fucking infidelity and abuse into one conversation? It was impossible. It was impossible to even put into words his father's affect on their family. It was almost like trying to explain color to Stevie Wonder. It just was...and the explanation of "was" wasn't simple. Koi wish he knew. He wish he knew why his family existed in this mess the way they did, the drama so familiar that Koi swore it had its own seat at the dinner table. He wish he knew why his mother stayed instead of taking her children and getting the fuck on. He even wish he knew why his Pops cheated the way he did. The man had everything didn't he? A faithful wife, two kids that at one point, actually adored his unfaithful ass. Koi could barely remember those days. He could barely remember wearing his Pop's number like the proud son of a legend that he was. He lived, slept...breathed his father. And when he grew up, he wanted to be just like him. Well, the joke was on him. Because he got his wish... He was Shemar Kidd through and through. His face, his talent...his heart. Or lack thereof. There wasn't any easy way to talk about more than ten years of bullshit and denial. There just wasn't...

There was silence. No words to give. Koi just didn't have any. He didn't have anything to say that even looked like the beginning of a story that wasn't even his to tell. It wasn't his. The drama had never been his. He'd inherited it from his parents that cared so damn much about themselves that the didn't care when they passed down their shit. Their fights. Their unhappy marriage that neither one of them would end. Their nonexistent attention to the daughter that needed them the most and to the son that barely needed them anymore. It was all one long, sad ass story. Stories had words. Why didn't this one? So Koi laid there with her...Devyn in his arms, holding on to him so tightly that it almost seemed like she knew he wanted to run away from her question. He did...want to run. He wanted to run away from it all and just keep running until his legs gave out and his heart burst and...he didn't feel...THIS anymore.

You know... Koi heard Devyn begin to speak and he knew that she figured out what his silence meant without even asking. It was insane that they were like this. So alike that he wondered if their heartbeats matched pace. So clairvoyant with each other that he wondered if they shared the same mind. The same thoughts. But so ignorant of each other's lives that that connection seemed strained sometimes. But the connection was there. It was there as she talked about her father for the first time, her words sounding like his. Cheating, dirty bastard with not a fuck to give or anyone's feelings. Damn if that didn't sound like Shemar. And so did her story of her father. The only recollection that Koi heard about one of her parents. That sounded like him, too as the happy stories were few and far between. Koi's hold on her tightened as she spoke, his fingers tracing the crevice of her spine, listening and understanding more than she knew. He was quiet as she finished, taking what she'd just told him in.

"That's your worse story?" He muttered, chuckling sourly. "How's this one? The eve of my tenth birthday. Me, Moms and Eri are sitting, watching the ball drop in Times Square on the television. Dad was away at a game in New York and it was just us. But Moms felt like if we all were seeing the same thing at the same time, we'd feel like we were actually together." Koi cringed, remembering as he spoke.

"The countdown started and you know how the close up on celebrities in the crowd? My mom and I were up in that television like we'd actually spot my Pops. And we did...right when the countdown ended. Up in some fuckin' Becky's face...kissing her like he kissed my mom." A sigh escaped him as the memory got realer.

"They tried to pan the camera away real quick...but I saw him. Moms did too... I think that was the first time I'd ever seen her cry..."

Devyn - 18-7-2013 at 12:40 PM

Devyn got quiet after she’d finished her little story. She felt...lighter. It was weird, sharing something like that with anybody, but after she was done with it she felt...better. As if a little bit of a weight had been lifted from her and she could...breathe easier, that lump in her throat dissolving. She didn’t want to cry about the shit like she thought she might have and it didn’t hurt as much as she thought it would either...That was the thing about memories, she guessed. They weren’t supposed to hurt like they did in the moment. They were over. Whatever it was happened and it was over and that kind of shit couldn’t hurt you anymore...right? Nah...she knew that shit wasn’t true. Feelings might fade, but they never went the fuck away...Imagine how well adjusted she would be if the did.

Koi’s voice interrupted her thoughts, asking if that was her worse story. HA! She wished. Compared to most things that was a great day. What Koi didn’t know (and never would if she had anything to do with it) was that Devyn’s daddy might have been like Shemar on a basic level, but he was much, much worse. His dad was an asshole. Her’s was Lucifer in human form...but it wasn’t a competition. Or maybe it was as he tried to one-up her with one of his own memories about his family. She winced when he got to the punchline of it all, his dad tonguing down some girl on national television...That sucked. And that wasn’t even the worst of it. He had to watch his mom react to it...

Devyn kissed his chest again after he was done. The two of them must have done some fucked up shit in their past lives to have been dealt parents like theirs. It was shit. It was shit, but they did what they could to get through...right now, that seemed to be telling each other the rough shit. Purging, if you will. It was good and she was going to keep it going...she thought. Devyn wanted to give him something else; tell him another fucked up anecdote, but since he’d mentioned it, she could only think of the worst.

Midnight on the 4th of July. Her mom tried getting back at her dad by having a little fun of her own with some guy. She set it up so that Hilton would come in and find them together before things got too real...she just wanted to prove a point. She probably should have know better as her husband had a notorious history for proving his points with violence. After pistol whipping the shit out of both her mom and her faux lover, Hilton shot that man in the chest and let him bleed out on his bedroom floor. Devyn had watched from the hallway through the crack in the door...and no one knew about the fireworks in her house because of the fireworks outside of it...Yeah. If she told the whole truth, Koi couldn’t win this this little pissing match of imperfect parents. His dad was just a whore. Her father was a monster.

“I’m sorry your dad’s a dick, kid...” She was. He was. It sucked and she didn’t want to play this ‘my life sucks more’ game with him. It would make things worse not better. “Your life sucks.” Devyn smiled a little, a small giggle leaving her lips as she craned her neck to look at him. Her lips kissed his chin before she relaxed into him again. “I wish there was something i could do to make it suck less.”

Koi - 18-7-2013 at 06:32 PM

And it kind of sounded like Koi was trying to play a round of "Who's got the biggest dick". And he did mean "dick" as, from the sound of it, both he and Devyn's father earned the titles with earnest. There wasn't another way to say it. Their "fathers" (he used the term loosely) sucked at all things fatherly. There was no competition needed as he kind of wished he had a father that didn't qualify. Koi couldn't pretend that he didn't wonder what it would be like to have a father that cared about him and the shit he did. What was it like to have a dad that participated in his life because he wanted to, not because he was protecting his own legacy? What was it like to have a father that actually...loved him? When Koi was younger, after his dad stopped giving a shit about his household, he would pretend that his dad was still who he had been in the very beginning. He pretended that his dad would give him pointers on the court instead of paying some stand in trainer to do it for him. He pretended that his father would hang around for holidays and birthdays, just so he could use that as a chance to dote on his one and only son. Now, the reality of it was that Koi wasn't even sure if he WAS his father's only son. His father was the crowned prince of Dirt and Lies. No one challenged him for that title.

Except Devyn's dad. He could see it in her face. She had almost as little, if not less, respect for her father as Koi had for his. And Koi would've never guessed it. Not like he assumed everyone had what Dhonny had. Matter of fact, most of his friends had jacked up home lives. Derrick's parents barely saw him as their work at their private practice called for more attention than they gave their kids, too. Miyu didn't even live with her parentals as they were too busy doting on their genius of a son. And now he could add Devyn to that list. Poor little rich kids.

Devyn's lips against his skin pulled him out of his thoughts after the silence fell again. He looked down at her, his hand leaving her back, fingers going to that "big ass hair" he loved. He was glad she'd told him though. Talking about her dad had opened up a door for him, one he didn't know how to walk through on his own. He'd talked about Shemar to her...and she'd understood. And even though he hadn't gone into detail about what'd happened with her and his mother, she just...knew. She figured it out. His father was a cheater. His mother avoided it all and the children were the ones that suffered. The story of not only Koi's life, but hers too. That was why it didn't take more that the story he'd told and she just knew. She understood him.

"The biggest..." He said, answering Devyn's comment. He wanted to laugh off the story he'd told her but...for a moment, he didn't need to play off how much it'd hurt him to recap it. He didn't have to "not care". Your life sucks. It kinda did. He knew that. Hers did too. But it felt good...to know that someone "got it". That he wasn't alone. He smiled quickly at her kiss to his chin, her affection bringing him back to her.

"There is..." He answered, lowering his lips to hers before her head met his chest again. "...you're doing it." And the quiet came again. And Koi welcomed it. He didn't need words. Their arms around each other was enough. And even if it was only enough for now...for that moment...he'd take it.

Devyn - 18-6-2014 at 03:46 PM

_________The Night of Derrick's Party________

Devyn giggled as the two of them stumbled into the house much earlier than either of them had anticipated. What was it? One? Two in the morning almost? Was anyone home? She didn’t know. In her current state, it really didn’t matter. Her inhibitions were completely out the window, as she’d proven on the ride home. I just need a little practice, babe…Ha. She spent the whole timewith her head in his lap and her ass on full display from the passenger side window. She didn’t have any shame left to give a shit if his mom was home right now. As per usual, she and Koi were locked in the world they’d created for themselves and all outsiders could wait.

His hands kneaded her ass as her lips twisted against his and they walked up the stairs. More like fell. They made it something like half-way before the kid tripped, taking Devyn down with him. She laughed, her body resting on top of his with his hands still holding her close. “Maybe you should just fuck me on the stairs-,” she laughed again at her own joke, her lips meeting his quickly before her hands found the floor beneath them and she tried to push away.

He wasn’t having it, his lips finding hers again as his hands slipped from her ass to her hips, his hold tightening. She let him kiss her, the same way he had been since she’d started things on the dance floor of The Rex. Her hands cupped his face as she bit his bottom lip, sucking at it as he tried to pull her even closer. God, she could feel his heartbeating in her chest...Was was it beating so fast?

“Babe-,” she tried to talk, pulling back a little, only to have his lips follow her shutting her up. She moaned. Gah, why was it always so hard to concentrate with him? She knew why his heart was beating so fucking fast and it wasn’t just because of her. She pulled back again, “I’m joking, Koi.”

Didn’t seem like Koi was though.

Koi - 18-6-2014 at 04:23 PM

He fucking wanted to touch her everywhere... His lips were twisted in hers, his kiss pulling at her so strongly that it felt like he was breathing her exhales. She giggled between his lips as they stumbled over the threshold of his house, the foyer dark as no one was home. Not a surprise. Lately, that's what was expected. His mother had been off of the island on business, his father...somewhere plugging some whore's holes. And Eri was over her nanny's house, having a sleepover with the nanny's daughter. Tonight was one of the times that all that emptiness was a good thing. They could be as loud as they wanted... Koi would take advantage of that, for damn sure. And he knew Devyn would, her loud kisses reminding him of the sexy sounds her mouth was making in his lap on the way back from the club. Baby must have formed gills because she didn't surface once, making Koi thank whoever was up there watching out for them that he didn't crash his whip the way she was handling his dick. Fuck... All that thinking about the shit that happened in the car had Koi a little disoriented and absent minded as they stumbled in the dark, trying to make their way to the stairs to his room.

"Shit!" He cursed between kisses, feeling himself slip backwards, his body meeting the stairs. Devyn fell on top of him, laughing as his hands never left her. He felt everyone of her curves against him, her body still moving against him. He couldn't help but touch her, squeezing her ass tighter as he started their kiss again. She felt so good, her body warm against his.

Maybe you should just fuck me on the stairs... Fuck. Koi groaned breathily, the suggestion turning him on more than he probably should've been. But with the combination of drugs pumping through his veins, in his blood...in his head...he was ready for anything. He was ready to push her dress up over her ass, push her thighs apart and slip inside of her. Right there...on the stairs. She lowered herself to kiss him again, but he held her down, her voice calling out for him. Her moan sent the heat up in him even more as he kissed her. His hands slipped to the bottom of her dress, grabbing her more firmly as he pulled the bottom of her dress over her ass. His kiss got more wild, frantic...his teeth nipping at her lip before he let his tongue slip into her mouth again.

"I know. Shhhh..." He hushed her, one of his hands leaving her ass as his finger slipped further, playing with her through her panties, feeling where she parted below through them.

Devyn - 18-6-2014 at 05:13 PM

Koi wasn’t trying to hear her talk about anything. If she wasn’t saying something along the lines of “give it to me now” he was not the least bit interested. She got that, because part of her wasn’t either...the other part of her could still feel his heartbeat against her. It was as if it were beating at his ribcage, ready to bust through like the fucking Koolaid man at any second. It was the drugs. She just knew it was...Oh God! What if it killed him? What if all this…excitement was too much and it fucking killed him. Could that happen? Could he have a fucking heart attack at 18 and leave her? Fuck no! Koi was not dying under her! If only she could get him to ease up a little…

An involuntary moan left her as he rubbed at her, his fingers poised to push her panties to the side and...No! No. She had to focus! “Babe, listen I think-,” her words stopped short as he did just what she thought he would a finger slipping into her, then another. She sighed arching her back a bit and pushing him deeper. Fuckkkkk...she needed to… She needed to focus, but God was her body begging her to shut up and let Koi make her cum. Fine. Maybe she couldn’t stop him. But she could slow him down right?

She kissed him again, although she wasn’t as into it as she had been. How could she be when she could practically hear his pulse in her ears. “I wanna go upstairs babe-,” she pouted, pulling back. Pouting was always a mood killer because it usually meant she was going to start complaining until she got what she wanted. He knew it. And it was just what she was prepared to do if it meant Koi made it until morning...Fuck! She should have told him at The Rex. She should have asked him not to do that shit and...she couldn’t live in the past. It was now and he was more fucked up than she was comfortable with. Even with her head swimming in liquor, she knew he wasn’t right.

“Come on, kid, really-,” her hand reached around to his, trying to pull his fingers out of her. She just wanted him to take a minute...

Koi - 18-6-2014 at 05:39 PM

Another groan slipped through his lips, louder this time, his finger tracing her slit. Devyn moaned with him, hopefully forgetting the need to distract him. What the fuck was more important than the massive nut she was about to bust when he finally got his dick out and-

Babe, listen I think- Nope. She didn't need to think. She needed to let Koi do what he was going to do with his fingers. And she needed to enjoy it. That was what she needed to do...and Koi silently told her so, his finger slipping past her panties, pushing inside of her tight wetness. He bit his bottom lip as he rubbed her from the inside...another finger joining the fun as he licked his lips. Wrapping his other arm around her waist, he sped his fingers up, a little gasp leaving her as her back arched at his stroke. See? Thats what he was talking about. Her, relaxing and letting him do what he'd been wanting to do to her for over a week. After all of the bullshit, all of the drama...after it all was over, this was what he wanted. His fingers inside of her, her body enjoying him...her moans, her kisses. He wanted everything that they'd been too fucking afraid to do with each other for days because of the bullshit that had nearly ruined them.

But Devyn had other plans, her kiss missing the intensity that it had seconds ago. Koi could tell she was thinking. She didn't have to do that. They were in the now, no fucking thinking necessary. All she had to do was let him work.

"Just let me...fuuuuuck" He moaned in the middle of his sentence, feeling himself go hard as he was so in her wet that he barely heard what she'd said. Damn, the wet was relentless. Her voice was serious, but he swore her pussy was talking louder. Fingers still at work, he kissed her chin, his tongue tracing down to her neck where he started a soft suck.

Come on, kid... Groaning with annoyance, he stopped kissing her, leaning back on the staircase, his eyes on hers. The hell was up with her? Usually when the moment hit, she went with it...no matter where. When the fuck was a bed important?

"Alright...come on." He sat up, standing as he waited for her to adjust herself and start the trek up the stairs.

Devyn - 19-6-2014 at 09:12 AM

He was so annoyed with her. She didn’t have to look at him to tell, but that did confirm it; his eyes fixed on hers with his eyebrows drawn together in irritation. She didn’t care. Koi needed to take a minute to...shit, she didn’t know what he needed to do, but he had to calm down. She was scared for him! She knew he could feel his heart racing, but it didn’t seem to be bothering him the way it was getting to her. What was bothering him? Devyn. Devyn and her sudden need to be fucked in a bed, as if that were the only place he’d ever had her. HA!

She usually wasn’t like this. Usually, when the mood hit and the two of them got wrapped up in each other, there was no waiting. For anything. It didn’t matter where they were or (as they’d proven tonight) who was watching. A bed never mattered before, but she cared now? Hell no. Under the right circumstances Koi could probably get her to fuck on the front lawn, but her problem wasn’t ‘where’, it was ‘what’. And that ‘what’ was the three lines of coke he’d done a couple hours ago. She knew she was being stupid. She knew he would probably be fine, but...there was a little voice in her head that would not stop whispering “what if he’s not…”

Koi released her, allowing her to stand before he did and waiting as she pulled her dress back down...Could he not look at her like she was responsible for ruining this moment? She fought the urge to roll her eyes as she walked past him starting up the stairs. She just wanted him to take a minute and catch his breath! Was that too much to ask? Koi gave a silent response to the question he hadn’t heard, his hand slapping her ass as they ascended the final stair. Devyn couldn’t help but laugh.

She turned to face him, her feet still moving backwards as her arms fell around his neck again. Maybe she should just be straight up with him. Tell him why she was acting the way she was about this whole thing...She could try right?

“Babe, you feeling okay?”

Koi - 19-6-2014 at 11:20 AM

What was the fucking deal? Koi didn't erase the irritated expression from his face as Devyn passed him to lead the way up the rest of the staircase. He just didn't get it. Shit like this was the norm when it came to Devyn and Koi. Their sex was random as fuck, getting it poppin' in crazier places than the damn staircase in his house. And she was always down. Hell, most of the time, she was the one who started it! But tonight, she seemed...nervous. Reserved. Like she was holding back on him. Holding back wasn't necessary. He wanted it all. He was ready for all of her, so much energy pulsing through him that his damn skin was tingling. He knew that his high was still fresh, he could feel it in the way his skin felt flushed. He was hot as fuck...and the best way to fix that shit? Get the fuck out of his clothes. Devyn seemed like she had other ideas as she took her time going up the stairs. Actually...that wasn't too bad as her ass shifted with every step she took in the fitted dress she wore. Koi couldn't help but smile as he watched it, mesmerized by that shit. The illegal type ass. Her shit was breakin' all types of laws. Because goddamn it, he just wanted to fucking take a bit out of crime.

A laugh slipped from Devyn as Koi gave that ass a tap, the jiggle on that shit turning him on even more. Damn, she was so bodied. Her tiny waist making her ass look colossal...in the best way. He couldn't wait to get behind that shit and...

Babe, you feeling okay? Koi was so caught up in his thoughts that he barely felt her arms fall on his shoulders, her eyes looking into his, questioning him. Uh, yeah. Shit, he was better than fine. They'd gotten out of that party and now their bodies were getting ready to do some reacquainting because as far as he was concerned, they'd been apart way too long.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" He muttered, his hands coming to her arms, his fingertips tracing the length of them.

"I'm fucking amazing, actually." He bit his lip, his hands moving from her arms to her shoulders, then to her back. Waist. Hips. Ass... He crouched a little as he grabbed her thighs, picking her up from the floor, her body pressed against his. With a couple of steps, he was at his bedroom door, pressing her back against the door as he stared into her eyes...giving her a second longer to get out any more questions or fucking comments she had before they got in the room. Because once her back hit the bed, the only sounds he wanted to hear were her moans...and his fucking name. And she could scream that shit over...and over.

"Anything else you wanna ask me before I break your back?" He asked, their faces not even inches apart. His jaw clenched as he stared at her lips, daring them to say something else.

Devyn - 19-6-2014 at 12:53 PM

Devyn shuddered beneath his touch, his fingers tracing the length of her arm as he responded. Why wouldn’t I be? Why? Oh. Hmm. She didn’t know...maybe it had something to do with the half a fucking gram he sucked into his nose a little earlier that night?! Did he really not feel like anything was wrong with him? Fuck, his whole body was flushed, his pupils were saucers, and the heat from his body was starting to make her hot. He couldn’t seriously not feel any of this! Why wasn’t he freaking the fuck out? She sure as hell was, but she was trying to keep that fact to herself...Kind of. She still just wanted him to take a little breather. Maybe get a glass of water or some shit. Hydrate. Flush his system...She didn’t fucking know! She just wanted...she wanted to stop worrying about him.

Koi wanted the same thing, his hands tracing her curves from her shoulders to her thighs before he picked her up. Devyn’s ankles crossed behind his back and she felt her thoughts start to fog up with their closeness. Dammit, why did he always do this to her? She was trying to...focus...help him…damn he smelled good...No! No, she needed to pull her shit together and put the kid first. Yes, she could tell in the way Koi kissed her that he had plans to dig her shit all the way out tonight, but she couldn’t put that ahead of his health. She couldn- Anything else you wanna ask me before I break your back?

Devyn’s lips found his before she could think about it. As if she could fucking think. Her brain shut the fuck down with that phrase, in that tone, from those perfect lips. She whimpered a bit, her hips moving against his. She could feel him at her center, his dick begging her to stop stalling and finally get this shit going...Why had she been talking again? She couldn’t remember...Her yelp became a soft giggle as Koi dropped her onto the California King before sliding out of his jacket. Devyn propped herself up on her forearms and watched him, her bottom lip drawn in, her legs open and waiting for him to come back to her. She thought about telling him to fuck her, but she was sure her face was saying that plenty loud enough.

“Undress me-,” she purred. She didn’t want to do it herself. She wanted Koi to get her naked and she wanted him to touch every inch of her while he did it.

Koi - 19-6-2014 at 02:04 PM

Devyn's answer was simple, her lips connecting to his quicker than it took to think of her final words. Exactly. There wasn't anything else to say. No stalling. He'd already made plain what he wanted that night...and her trying to distract him wasn't included. The corner of Koi's lip turned up in a cocky ass smirk, his tongue touching hers as they kissed, his hand leaving her thigh as he opened the door to his bedroom. He moaned into her mouth as he entered the room, the warmth in her center grinding against him, the swell that had already started there going fully hard. His hand went back to her ass, pressing her against him, Devyn's rub turning into straight fucking with their clothes on. He wanted to keep playing, the tease that she was giving him making his heart race even faster than it already was. And that bitch was racing, the beats mixing, running into one another. The fucking drug was a powerful thing. The excitement of the moment mixing with the blow was a fucking...powerful...thing. The feeling of it all had him so high. Excited. Anxious for her. Impatient. He wanted her. Now.

Dropping her on the bed, he bit his lip as he took off his jacket, her laugh making him smile, full whites showing. THIS was Devyn he knew. His fun bitch. His little bad girl. This was the girl that had just deep throated his joint while they were going ninety on the fucking freeway. The memory of his dick hitting the back of her throat...her legs open on the bed, wearing that face that told him just how much she wanted to taste him again. His head was going a little light at it all. And then...

Undress me... He closed his eyes, feeling the moment as he lowered himself between her legs, his hands going to her hips, resting himself on top of her. His lips touched her neck, his tongue tasting her before he sucked at her. His hands abandoned the curve of her hips...one pulling at the top of her dress, lowering it...her breasts exposed. He was sure he was busting seams on her dress. He didn't give a fuck. He was doing what she asked. If her dress was in shreds by the end of the night, that wasn't his fault. He kissed a trail to the valley between her full breasts, taking her nipple into his mouth as she wiggled underneath him, the feeling of his tongue teasing her making her restless. It was okay. He just wanted a quick taste. The teasing wasn't going to last for long.

Especially as his hand was already between them, making its way between her legs...pushing panties to the side. Feeling her wetness slip between his fingers as he pushed inside of her.

Devyn - 19-6-2014 at 03:19 PM

Oh, God it had been too long... Devyn moaned as she laid on her back and Koi kissed her neck. He knew that was her fucking spot. Her eyes closed as her back arched beneath him. How had they gone a week without this? Why had they gone a week without this? She had missed him so much and she was out to prove it, his name mingling with a moan of pleasure as her fingers gripped the sheets. Why wasn’t she naked yet? As if he could hear her thoughts Koi’s hand came to the top of her dress, pulling it down to expose her chest. Fuck, yessssss. She moaned a bit louder as he began a trail of kisses from her neck, to her collarbone, to her-, “Ahhhh-,” she sighed, his lips enveloping her nipple as his tongue rolled over it again and again. Fuck… She squirmed beneath him, her body restless with anticipation. She wanted him inside her. Like yesterday.

Her wriggling only got worse as his fingers came back to her center continuing the stroke he’d started on the stairs. Her hips immediately began to move in time with his fingers and she called his name again. Damn, he was making her lightheaded...but damn if it wasn’t the best she’d felt in the last eight days. Devyn’s hands found his face, pulling his lips from her breast and back to her mouth. She didn’t want to ever stop tasting him, their tongues twisting together, getting more and more reckless as the pace of his fingers sped up. She moaned into his mouth, her chest flush against his and...Fuck! That’s why she had stopped this before…

Koi’s chest was almost vibrating. Shit. She cursed aloud, partly because she remembered what she was trying to tell him earlier; mostly because Koi was dangerously close to getting her first orgasm out of the way. Her back arched again as his thumb found her clit sent electricity through her entire body, a moan louder than any other escaping her. Mmmmm...It could wait until he rubbed this out for her right? Maybe? Ughhh…

“Koi-,” she was interrupted, his name melding into yet another moan, her legs beginning to quiver at she got even closer to the finish line. They needed to stop. He needed a break…right after this...

Koi - 19-6-2014 at 04:13 PM

Koi... His name never sounded better than when it was coming out of Devyn's mouth during one of their fuck sessions. She mixed every letter with that moan that made him more and more impatient for her every time he heard it. Her hands on his face, pulling her back to his mouth silenced her calling out for him, their kiss getting stronger...wilder, finishing what they'd started on the stairs. Their kisses were loud against the silence in the room, lips finding each other easily in the dark. They weren't strangers to this moment, their bodies familiar old friends. His hands knew her too, fingers slipping in and out of her, speeding up with the thrust of her hips. She was greedy as fuck tonight, her eyes closed as she let her body ride the cum that was building. He leaned against her chest, watching her enjoy the hell out of what his hand was doing to her. He couldn't lie, he was ready for his dick to finish the job. Watching her legs quiver...feeling her back arch...he loved that shit. And he wanted to do more. So much more.

Quickly, he wrapped her legs around his waist with his free hand, sitting up as he lifted her onto his lap, balancing with his legs underneath him. She straddled him, her body quickly finding the rhythm to their new position...his fingers still inside of her. He kissed her chin as her arms wrapped around his neck, her body rolling as she moved on top of him...riding the shit out of his fingers. He groaned as he quickened their stroke, his arm going tighter around her waist as she rocked on his hand like she was riding that dick. He leaned back as much as he could between her tight hold on him, his eyes on her face...watching her. There was that sexy ass grimace, her teeth clenched as her body shook. Her head fell back, her long curls falling off her shoulders as she pushed against his fingers, her hips winding in circles.

"You cummin'?" He whispered, pulling her close to him again. His nose traced the outline of her face, his lips following. He put his lips close to her ear.

"Are you?" He spoke again, softer...talking shit.

Devyn - 19-6-2014 at 05:41 PM

He was so. Fucking. On. Tonight!

Devyn let out a surprised squeal that turned to a giggle and faded into a moan as Koi changed their position. Her arms wrapped around his neck as she pulled her body closer to him, er hips still rolling in the unbroken rhythm they shared. Wasn’t it always like this? The two of them easily being able to respond to the other no matter what position they were in. It was. But there was something else about tonight. Something different about Koi, and it was distracting her. In the back of her mind, Devyn couldn’t help but imagine Koi groaning and her thinking it meant one thing when it actually meant the exact opposite…that was her subconscious...Consciously? Devyn’s hips sped and her head fell back, his name leaving her lips again beginning a stream of ‘fucks’ that didn’t seem like they would stop. You cummin’? Y’think?! Devyn ignored him, her roll turning to a soft bounce as his fingers delved in and out of her. Are you?

“Shhhh-,” her index finger covered his lips as she finally felt the flood gates open, her scream drowning out anything else Koi might be try to say to her. Fuck, that felt ah-mazing...Her whole body felt like it was on fire, her every nerve ending sensitive to the touch. His touch. Devyn rode that feeling out, her legs feeling as if they would give out if she tried to stand. She didn’t plan on doing that though.

Koi’s fingers had slowed. Devyn reached between them, taking his fingers from her center and bringing them to her mouth. She licked the length of them before her mouth took them in completely. She moaned as she slid them slowly out, her eyes trained on his the entire time. She smirked at him, licking her lips before they found his again and they shared the taste of her, her tongue tangling with his in a slow kiss. Slow…

Devyn’s hands met Koi’s chest and he leaned back for her, laying down. Her lips went from his lips to his neck, her hands sliding down his chest, over his stomach stopping to undo his belt. Her fingers twisted at the button on his pants before pulling at the zipper, her hand dipping quickly into his boxers and grabbing what had yet to get any attention. She lifted her head, her lips finding his ear as she whispered to him.

“You turn, baby.”

Koi - 19-6-2014 at 06:50 PM

Shhhhh. Koi smiled widely at Devyn's finger over his lips, letting it silenced him, her body still moving on his fingers. Her circles stopped and turned into a little bounce, the rhythm of her breasts catching his eye as her sex sounds got louder. She was so caught up in it...and Koi loved it. He felt like a spectator at his own dirty show...watching Devyn put on for him, her moans like sex songs. Hitting high notes. He let his shit talking mute out as the quivering in her legs stopped and her body stiffened against him. His fingers kept moving inside of her as he watched her, the scream leaving her mouth making him thank God that the damn house was empty. Her hips moved slowly, grinding against his fingers, her little jerks and cum spasms shooting through her like residual sparks from a fire refusing to be put out. He let her ride it out, her muscles loosening, body resting against him. He kissed her forehead softly, letting her hand reach between them and hoping, on everything, that she was getting ready to play with it and put on a little show for a nigga. But his brows furrowed as she pulled his fingers from inside of herself and...

Shit... Koi's eyes narrowed as she licked the length of the fingers that were covered in her, tasting herself. His lips rounded in an "o" when she stuck them completely in her mouth, her eyes staring into his. Dirty mouth girl. This side of Devyn was Koi's favorite. When Devyn got filthy. "Taste herself, 'pull my hair', beg for his dick" kind of nasty. That was the kind of shit that turned him all the way on. When the lady that she was out in the open took a rest and his freak came out to play. She kissed him, her flavor on her lips, a groan of appreciation leaving him as he enjoyed the taste of her on her own tongue. As if he wasn't ready before he gave her a "three finger salute" and made her bust, he was hard enough to break fucking glass after that shit, pressing against his pants. Ready to fuck all the "tease me" fucking around and put a dent in her shit.

And almost like she ready his mind, Devyn's hands pressed against his chest, making him lean back against his bed, his legs falling over the edge. Her hands traveled down stomach, stopping at his belt, his eyes following her hands, mouth smirking as she pulled at his belt and undid his pants. His hands rubbed at her thighs. He wanted to touch her again. Stop the teasing. Take his...

His own moan interrupted his thoughts as Devyn wrapped her hand around him. He felt it jump in her grasp, his eyes connecting with hers.

Your turn...

He bit his lip as he moved his hand from her thigh, covering hers. His tongue slipped between his lips as he pushed her hand down, moving it in a slow stroke. He didn't want to talk. He didn't want to wait. No pausing. No intermissions. He wanted her to kiss the tip of his shit. Suck him into dehydration. Then ride that bitch so hard that she strained it.

Devyn - 20-6-2014 at 11:27 AM

This was good. Slow. Slow was what Koi needed. Devyn hadn’t forgotten and she wasn’t going to let herself forget again. Koi’s heart was hammering against his ribcage and Devyn and been selfishly ignoring it to get her own pleasure. He needed a break. She knew that, but she also knew if she asked the only thing Koi would tell her he needed was a fucking nut. So what was a girl to do? How was she supposed to get him to chill and get him off? Hell, she didn’t know, but she did know stopping wasn’t an option, his hand coming to hers and starting her stroke. Her hand worked him as she tried to think of a way to keep him on his back and convince him to let her do most of the work. What could she--oh. Devyn knew just what to do.

Devyn took her hand out of his pants, her lips falling atop his again, however briefly before she slid slowly to the floor...to her knees. Her fingers tucked into the sides of his boxers and pulled them just low enough to get his length the air it was so desperately begging for. She didn’t hesitate, her head bobbing down, taking him whole, pausing for just a second before she pulled him back out again, the sound of his dick leaving her mouth making a sharp popping noise. Mmmm…yes. Devyn moaned, her eyes finding his again as her tongue swirled around the tip of him, before licking from the base and back up again. And he fucking loved it… Why wouldn’t he though? He’d taught her everything she knew and Devyn had always been a quick study.

His hand tangled in her hair pulling it back into a loose kind of ponytail. He was trying to watch...That was one of Dev’s favorite things about Koi. He always took time to…appreciate her talents and the look on his face always made her want to show out. She spit on it before taking him in again, finding a rhythm and moaning as he did, the sound of it egging her on...Problem solved.

What was more calming than some more than decent neck?

Koi - 20-6-2014 at 03:40 PM

Koi got it. For some reason, Devyn wanted to slow things down between them that night. He didn't understand it, but to be real, he wasn't really trying to. Call it selfish, but that "good" pulsing through his body had him focused on something other than what kept distracting her. He only cared about what she was doing with the other half of her attention span. The part that devoted itself to the orgasm that had her screaming loud enough to wake the neighbors...the part that was intent on getting her next one. Or maybe...she was focused on something else, her eyes watching their hands stroke at him. He couldn't help but watch their "team effort", the thought making him chuckle, a breathy moan taking over. It felt good, having her touch him like she was. He liked that she wasn't only a taker. She gave too, wanting to return the favor that Koi'd just made happen between her thighs. Yeah, that was all him. And she knew it, thanking him with her hand down his boxers. He let her hand go as she got the damn point, his hands joining behind his head as he let her work, closing his eyes at the building sensation there.

Or not... His brow wrinkled as he felt her let go, the weight of her body leaving him as she...moved to the floor between his legs. Oh shit. Yeah, he knew what was coming next, his arms propping him up, watching her pull at his boxers. His hips rose, helping her pull them to his thighs...letting her uncover what she'd been feeling through his underwear. Without wasting a single fucking second, taking him into her mouth, his thighs clenching as he felt the back of her throat on his tip. He groaned, the volume raising in his voice the way it did when she did exactly what he'd taught her. Don't play with that shit. Let me know what you wanna do with it. Then when it gets good. And I mean really good?...tease the fuck out of me. She followed directions when it mattered, her mouth's pull so strong on him that she made his shit a fucking cork.

"Hell yeah..." He moaned, fighting his body falling back to the bed. She was using that sick tongue game that he didn't even have to teach her and he couldn't lie...a nigga went weak when she did that shit, his toes curling in his shoes as his eyes narrowed. Damn. He taught her well.

Cursing softly, he sat up completely, watching her head bob in his lap. His hands pulled her hair up and out of her face, her eyes looking right up at him as she gave him that real top. The kind that got dirty. The kind that made him talk to her like the fucking dirty girl she was. The dirty girl that spit on her nigga's dick when the spirit moved her to do it, a groan escaping him, yeah's and like that's twisted into his moans, a curse word and a suck that shit... here and there.

"Fuck, bae..." He moaned again, his hand that twisted into her hair moving with the motion of her head. His lips rounded, hips moving with her suck.

Devyn - 20-6-2014 at 05:54 PM

Fuck, bae... Devyn moaned again, his pleasure giving her pleasure. Fuck, indeed. She was so fucking into him. His moans, his curses, the way his eyes seemed to roll into the back of his skull every time his tip hit the back of her throat. Damn… Dev spread her legs a little, slipping two fingers into herself as her suck up got even crazier, tricks Koi hadn’t taught her taking over, coming from a place she didn’t even know existed. It was working though and she couldn’t ask for much more...neither could Koi actually...

Dev felt his body stiffen, his hands stopping her bob and holding her in place as he came in her mouth. That was...different. Usually the kid pulled out and came on her breasts. It was his thing as far as she knew, but tonight it wasn’t. Tonight Koi was in rare form and...Devyn couldn’t say she didn’t like it. She may not have had it happen before, but she knew her options with his kids in her mouth. Spit or swallow. It had been a questions guys asked in the seventh grade as a dirty joke, but now it was a real decision she had to make. The thought of that almost made her laugh, but she held it in...more like swallowed it down…

When she felt his grip on her hair lessen, Dev pulled him out of her mouth, a sigh leaving her as she got to breathe out of her mouth for the first time in about ten minutes. She cursed, her thumb wiping the corner of her mouth and she sucked at it, putting on a little show for him...only he wasn’t there. Devyn’s brows furrowed, noticing that Koi was now flat on his back. “Koi?” She waited for his response, sure he was about to say some dirty shit about her riding him until the sun came up...but he didn’t. She felt her heart drop, her hand coming to the one that was still in her hair and she moving it, coming back up to hover over him. “Koi?”

Fuck! His eyes were closed and Devyn felt panic settle in as her head immediately met his chest, her ear listening for something that had been so prevalent before. She could barely hear it now...but he was breathing. Devyn heaved a sigh of relief and felt her lips begin to pull at the corners. She allowed herself to laugh a little at her current situation, letting her head rest on his chest. She hadn’t killed him. But she’d put him to sleep though?...Well, she couldn’t say that hadn’t been the goal. Devyn sighed, her hands meeting the sheets as she pushed off of the bed coming to stand. She looked down at him and let herself have just a minute to really...look. He was so cute. And so good to her...She didn’t know what she’d do if he...What if this was what happened to her mother. God, not the sex, but maybe she just fell asleep and the drugs...She didn’t want to go there. She could already feel her eyes beginning to fill at the simple thought of losing him...at the actual fact that she’d lost her mother that way. She wasn’t going to lose him. Not tonight.

Dev pulled her dress back over her breasts before she bent her leg back, pulling off one heel and then the other. She bent down again, her intentions innocent this time as she began untying his shoes to take them off. They would get comfortable and she would let him rest. Her? She was just going to stay up a while and make sure he was okay...just for a bit...

Koi - 20-6-2014 at 07:40 PM

__________________________________ Another Morning After ________________________________

Koi was muttering in his sleep. He could hear his own voice forming meaningless words that didn't have a damn purpose or a reason at that time of the morning...if it WAS morning. Shit, was it morning? He didn't know. What he DID know was that he was talking in his sleep, an effect of the blow he'd done some time during Derrick's party last night. His mind was still worked up...restless. Good Morning, coke crash. He swallowed hard, attempting to get some type of moisture in his throat as it was drier than the entire west coast. Also a fucking side effect of coming down after what he guessed was a night of putting that white shit up his nose. Because it fucking ached...his nose. His sinuses felt like they were on fire they were so dry. And his head...fuck. He felt like he'd been up for three days straight. But that couldn't have been right. The party was last night...right?

"Shit..." He muttered, moving to throw his arm over his face, his eyes still closed against the daylight that was streaming through what may have been his windows (was he even in his bed?). Instead, he pulled a body closer to him, his eyes snapping open quickly as the person lying next to him tightened their arm around his waist.

Devyn. Through the headache and a half, he smiled, his eyes closing again. If there was one thing that made the night before good as fuck, it was waking up to no regrets. He had to admit, through the fuzziness of what last night had been, he was glad it was Devyn there. Because in the blur of things he remembered, the morning after could've ended up totally different.

Leaning into her, he placed a kiss on her forehead, feeling her jump as it woke her from her sleep.

"Morning..." He whispered, kissing her on her forehead again as she stirred and sat up.

Devyn - 20-6-2014 at 08:22 PM

Devyn jumped, her half sleep inturrupted for the umteenth time as she felt Koi stir. She had been asleep on and off through the morning. She didn’t know when she finally drifted off, but she hadn’t meant to. She should have been watching him. Just in case he needed something. Just in case he needed her. Dev had woken up for his every cough, turn, and grunt he’d made in his coke induced coma. She was worried about him and it only got worse when she slept, having nightmares of him fucking seizing beneath her and going completely still. She couldn’t fucking deal. So yeah. Feeling him move made her just as nervous as if had the hundred times he’d done it through the night...But he spoke this time. Telling her good morning before his lips met her forehead again. Dev yawned, untangling her legs from his and sitting up.

“Hey…” she said quietly, blinking a few times to wake herself up. She rolled her neck, easing the tension she felt, her eyes coming to find the clock. It was 3 in the afternoon. Shit. She hadn’t meant to stay this long. She was sure Athena was blowing up her phone...if could wait. It wasn’t as if she could have left Koi in the state he was in. Shit wasn’t safe. It wasn’t right. It wasn’t...was she mad at him? Huh. She didn’t know when that happened, but she was. Maybe it was because she knew he would be okay now...wouldn’t he? He was awake and smiling and his threat of going into cardiac arrest was almost non-existent now...He was going to be fine. But she wasn’t. Especially, not if this shit happened again.

Reaching over to the nightstand on her side, Dev picked up a bottle of water and tossed it to him. It wasn’t cold anymore seeing as she’d gotten it sometime around six when he had his first coughing fit, but she was pretty sure it wouldn’t matter to him. She let the silence linger between them. She didn’t know what to say to be honest. She wasn’t trying to fight with him as soon as he woke up, but she was so fucking mad at him. Why did he do this shit to himself? How did the shit not scare the hell out of him every time he did it? It sure as hell scared her.

“How’d you sleep?” her voice was flat, the irritation clear in it despite her trying to give him some time to get his head together...Maybe she should just go...

Koi - 21-6-2014 at 08:02 AM

Cracking the top on the bottle Devyn had just tossed to him, he took a massive swig, water dribbling down his chin as he drained half of the bottle. He was thirsty as a thot during all-star weekend! He smirked at his thought, lowering the bottle. His smile was short lived, his eyes resting on Devyn, who hadn't given him more than a "hey" before leaned against the wall behind his bed. His eyebrows raised as she didn't say much more, her eyes looking as tired as she yawned again. He wanted to ask her why she was so damn exhausted looking since she'd just woken up with him. He wanted to make a joke about their night, wondering if he'd put her to sleep after they'd fucked. But that was kind of the kicker...he didn't know if they had. They were still in their clothes from the night before, not naked in the bed, wrapped up in the sheets like they normally were after a night together. Which was confusing as fuck...because she obviously had mark on her neck where he'd sucked at her too hard. And the tip of his joint was tingling. Which meant he came...hard. But, he wasn't going to mention it. Partly because of the look on Devyn's face. Something was...off about her that morning...(afternoon...what the fuck ever).

Finally, she broke the silence, her voice telling him even more that she was less than amused about something. What? He did NOT know. What the hell did he DO at Derrick's party. Or after it?

"I guess I slept okay..." He said, coughing a little as he ended his comment. He unscrewed the water bottle again, finishing it off as he looked over at her, his brows furrowing even more. What was she pissed about? Because this was pissed. He wasn't sure if she was top level of pissivity or just slightly bothered, but point was...Devyn wasn't happy.

"How did you sleep?" He asked, his hand coming up as he brushed her tousled hair out of her face. "You look like you're still tired, bae."

Devyn - 21-6-2014 at 08:59 AM

She knew he felt like shit. Devyn had nursed her mother through too many crashes to not know exactly what Koi was dealing with. Dry mouth, headache (that was probably more hangover than crash symptom), fatigue...he’d been asleep for the better part of the day and she was sure as soon as she left, he would go right back...The intense, unyielding craving for another line of blow...At least he’d slept okay. It was always a toss up with her mom and sleep when she was on the shit. Sometimes she would sleep for days, waking only to piss and go back to bed. Other times, she wouldn’t sleep at all, she’d lock herself in her room and just cry for hours on end...Fuck.

“Yeah, I bet you did-,” Devyn muttered under her breath, shaking her head clear. Yeah she was pissed at him. She had an attitude, and the more she heard Koi’s voice the worse it was going to get. She was going to just leave. It wasn’t going to be good for either of them to talk right now and she knew that...She knew that but she still answered Koi when he threw her question back at her. You still look tired, bae.

“I didn’t-,” Devyn felt her nose wrinkle as she pushed Koi’s hand away from her face, her own hand running through her hair in frustration. She sighed, sliding to her side of the bed and sitting on the edge, her own hangover keeping her from standing like she wanted to. She didn’t want to be near him right now though, let alone have him touch her. She spoke over her shoulder with her back to him. “I used to think she was sick…” It was a simple truth, to begin a story Devyn had never told anyone. When she was 12 and Hilton told her mother to “get clean or get the fuck on” she’d thought she was sick. She didn’t know any better and it seemed like her mom just had the flu...Nah. She was a junkie trying to kick a nasty heroin habit that Dev had been too stupid to even see...

She guessed they were hashing this out now.

Koi - 21-6-2014 at 01:00 PM

Her reaction, even as pissed as he already could tell she was, wasn't expected. Koi blinked a couple of times before smirked, nodding his head. She brushed him off. Okay, cool. No, really? Not cool. Now he knew he'd fucked up between what he hoped was still last night and this morning. The only question was "how". What the hell had he done to Devyn that had been so bad that she was giving him more than just a cold shoulder after what he'd figured had been an amazing night. What he wished, actually. Because he was seeing that his assumptions were a fucking joke and making a complete ass out of him...yet again.

I didn't... She was in a bad mood because she was sleepy? Very doubtful. This was coming from somewhere else. He watched her as she scooted away from him, her legs swinging over the side of her bed. Her back was to him as she sat. He waited for a second, wondering whether she was going to stay...or leave. Because her body language said "leave". Shit. What...did he do? He wouldn't take her anger from her because whatever had gone down last night, he probably deserved it. But he wasn't going to keep sitting there, taking her silence if she couldn't tell him what he'd done. What was the issue? His eyes settling on her as his mouth opened to speak. Instead, she spoke first as she looked at him over her shoulder.

"Who-..." Koi sighed again, scratching his curls. What was she talking about. No, more like "who"? She? Her voice had been flat...hoarse. Like the way she sounded when she was choking back tears. The gears in Koi's brain were trying so hard to keep up with her, spinning off into different directions and running after her train of thought all at the same time. He rubbed his forehead roughly as he closed his eyes...and then...it just...clicked.

"You're talking about your mother...aren't you?" He asked quietly. With much effort, he moved to her side of the bed, his legs swinging over the side as he sat next to her. Not close enough to touch, just...close enough to let her know he was there. Her mother. She never spoke about her mom. Not after she died. Not after she was buried. He guessed she was buried. The point was, some deep shit was about to leave her lips and Koi...wanted her to know that even though she didn't want him near her, he was still there.

"Talk to me." He demanded silently.

Devyn - 21-6-2014 at 03:19 PM

Who…Of course he didn’t know what she was talking about. She hadn’t used a complete thought, she just...she didn’t even know if she wanted to talk about this shit. She just wanted him to stop putting that shit up his nose and...be okay. She didn’t want him to end up like her...She couldn’t deal with that shit. She wouldn’t. But she also knew there would be no ‘stop doing that shit’ without some kind of explanation, some kind of push back. Koi Kidd didn’t take orders...even if this was the only one Devyn had ever wanted to give him...So she would have to talk about it she guessed, especially as Koi spoke again, figuring her out before she had to tell him. She heard him groan as he sat up and slowly made his way to her side, sighing as he settled. Talk to me. Devyn scoffed sourly, shaking her head as her eyes found her feet and she looked for the words...Talk to him...

“I was so stupid-,” she had been. You would think with who her father was, Devyn would be able to spot a junkie...Not that he ever had been, but his client base and his many whores, you would just assume Devyn knew...And she did. She just never saw her mother that way. She was her mom...And for the most part she was good at it. Great, even. Devyn never wanted for anything, her mom spent more than enough time with her...when she wasn’t high. When she was high she was mostly gone and when she finally came home (at her worst she’d disappeared for about four days) she’d go to sleep and wake up “sick”. Devyn always assumed she was sick and she never understood why her father didn’t seem to give a fuck at all. That was until Devyn popped off at him one day and he calmly explained that she wasn’t sick. The bitch is crashing and she did that shit to herself!

Devyn didn’t care. She’d done everything she could to make her mom’s frequent downs just a little better for her; whether she wanted her there or not. She’d taken care of her then...and where had that gotten them? Devyn was living with her aunt trying to stay away from that shit and her mom had finally stopped shooting up, but only because she was dead. She wasn’t doing this shit again!

“I’m not taking care of you.” She turned to him then, her eyes meeting his for the first time that afternoon. “Because if I do, you’re going to think this shit is okay and you’re going to end up just like her. Dead.

Koi - 21-6-2014 at 04:11 PM

I was so stupid. Wait. How was she... He wasn't understanding her. Most of what Devyn was saying was confusing to him. Why? Because he knew no details about her family, much less her mother. Devyn had never talked in full detail about anything from her past, but that was okay, he guessed. When she was ready, things from her past wouldn't be secrets anymore. He understood that because he handled her the same way. So, he could only make assumptions about her, like her family life wasn't the best and that was why she lived with her aunt. Or that she was an only child, because by now? He was sure a sibling would've popped up. Anything outside of that? Koi drew a blank. And the confusing half sentences that she was giving him weren't helping out much. He looked expectantly into her face, her eyes refusing to connect with him. But that wasn't new because she'd been avoiding his face since they'd woken up next to each other. And he knew that her refusing to look at him wasn't a good sign. It was never a good sign...

I'm not taking care of you... What? Koi's eyes narrowed as Devyn finally made eye contact with him, her stare cold and nearly unforgiving. Jesus. What the hell was she talking about?! His head cocked to the side as he listened to the rest of her words. What...had he done...LAST NIGHT?! Something had Devyn so shook that she was comparing Koi's behavior to her mother's death? It would've been easier if he had known what had taken her mother out. Was it...a man? Shit, no...that would've made what he now knew as still last night's activities a little homo-erotic and he knew he hadn't gotten down like that. Cancer? Fucking AIDs? Was he on that unprotected shit again last night? Hell...did someone murder her? God, whatever he'd gotten into the night before must've been on some foul shit if it had Devyn refusing to look at him, her eyes still brimming with tears that she was too much of a soldier to even LET tumble over.

"I don't...did I...did I ask you to do something...wrong last night? Is that..." He stopped talking when he noticed her the change in her eyes from cold to anger. Okay...he had to remember. He fucking had to. Recalling the night before was always a beast when he partied too hard. He was sure there was liquor as he and Devyn had taken a couple of shots from the flask he'd bought her for her eighteenth birthday. And then after that...goddamn it. Still drawing a blank. Chemical elevation always wiped his slate clean, making it too goddamn hard to bring anything back after...

Oh. And there it was. He'd done something last night. Shit. What had it been? Acid? A couple more percs? Maybe a line or two? He swallowed hard, feeling the need for another bottle of water.

"What did I do last night?" His voice was low as he looked away. "Dust? Diesel? What..." He looked back at her, waiting for her to answer him.

Devyn - 21-6-2014 at 05:13 PM

Devyn heaved a sigh of frustration as Koi stumbled over his words, her patience non-existent. The only way she could imagine being more upset with him was if he had actually asked her to “do something wrong” with him last night...There were very few things that genuinely pissed Devyn off about Koi. Number one on that list of things was his drug use. She wasn’t an idiot. He used. According to Dhonny, he used a lot less than he used to, sticking mostly to percs and green, but he was using. She guessed she just never really allowed herself to think about the shit Koi put in himself when she wasn’t around. Why the hell would she? When she saw him he was good...himself...but last night? Seeing him? She couldn’t deal with that. Not again.

And that’s what she was trying to tell him, although she was obviously doing a shitty job of it. The confusion on his face a permanent fixture as he tried to make sense of her words. She didn’t think it was too much of a jump. And it probably wouldn’t have been if he had any clue what he’d done last night. He was trying to keep up though and Dev guessed she had to appreciate his effort...She knew the struggle of trying to get back the things blow wiped clean...He was trying...and evenually succeeding, correctly guessing she had a problem with the--diesel?

Un-fucking-believable…-,” Devyn stood up, his presence irritating her to a point that was so beyond any point she’d ever reached with him before. “H, too, Koi?” She didn’t really want to hear about it. She waved her question off, sighing again as she tried to get some kind of control of herself...because who was she really mad at here? Koi was only doing the shit he usually did. He had a life before Devyn and apparently, in it, no one told him all the shit he was on might kill him one day. He was just being himself...he didn’t have the problem. She did.

“You know what? I’m not even mad at you.” Devyn began pacing in front of him, her words not so much directed at him, but her just getting her thoughts out. “ I’m upset with myself for not saying anything in the first place. I didn’t say anything to her either and she kept using. She was supposed to be getting clean, but she wasn’t…” Dev paused. Her breath hitching in her throat, her emotions starting to get the best of her.

“She said she would do it for me, but...I guess...I wasn’t enough.”

Koi - 21-6-2014 at 07:14 PM

"Dev! What?" Devyn standing so suddenly she made Koi jump, her reaction to his question throwing him for yet another loop. What was the big fucking deal NOW? So, he apparently got high last night. That explained a HELL of a lot, actually. But one thing that he didn't get? Devyn's anger. Why she was so MAD at him? The anger that she was showing right now had him thinking that the more he said, the pissier she'd get. Over a little chemical elevation, though? Come on. She knew Koi. She knew this ABOUT Koi. He got high. She'd met him on an ex crash, smoked out with him on nearly the fucking daily and watched him pop more percs than necessary. How was last night any different? Did he do a line or some shit off of Taylor Westbrooks' (she'd been there, right?) ass? What had her so lit? An incredulous look hit his features, his hands going up as he shrugged her overreaction.

"Hell yeah. And coke, and shrooms, and...do I need to keep going? What is the deal? What, bae!" His eyes closed as the argument that he was feeling on the horizon sparked. Shit was about to get started and he was way too fucking hungover and cooked for this shit. He got it. Something about last night had her pissed. He got that! But it couldn't have been this shit that she'd known about him from the jump. Shit she was completely cool with until that day? Why?! What changed? What had her so freaked the fuck out? He'd woken up in his bed, next to her...not some hospital bed on the other side of a bad reaction! He was here, living. Breathing. Talking to her and...

She wasn't mad? Ha. That was a joke for sure. Koi smirked skeptically at her as he watched her pace across his carpet. Shit, they were back to pacing. She was pacing today and she was pacing when...he didn't want to think about that. He didn't want to think about the constant shit that kept hitting the damn fan when it came to he and Devyn. This situation had it's own shit to sort out. He wasn't going to lump situations together. His headache wouldn't let him do it.

I'm upset with myself for not saying anything in the first place... So, now she had a problem with him using? Koi's face crumpled as he rubbed his temple, Devyn's next sentence coming like word vomit after the other one. She was spewing emotion, the anger in her voice no longer directed at Koi. He looked up at her, the hand at his temple falling to his chin as he listened to her...REALLY listened to her. His frustration melted, his face dropped. He finally heard her. He finally heard what she was trying to say to him. She paused, her pacing halted as her voice waivered.

...I guess I just wasn't enough. Shit. Her moms was a druggie. She'd died because she was a druggie. Koi finally got it.

"Don't do that..." He spoke softly, his hand grabbing her wrist, pulling her to him as the first tears spilled down her round cheeks. "Please. Devyn don't cry. Come on."

Devyn - 22-6-2014 at 07:27 AM

Don’t do that…Don’t do what? Tell the truth? She wasn’t enough. She hadn’t been enough when her mom needed her the most and she couldn’t fix it anymore. Her mom was gone and Devyn hadn’t been able to save her. By holding her hand through her crashes, Devyn had told her she’d be there through anything...And she wasn’t. She’d broken the promise and Yvette was gone...There was no going back and even if there was, she wouldn’t be able to for what she did to Hilton. He’d kill her. No question...And sometimes she wondered if that would really be so bad.

“It’s true though. I couldn’t help her. I couldn-...I couldn’t save her…” Devyn allowed Koi to pull her back to him, her body filling the space next to his again as he hugged her. Held her. Dev exhaled, feeling a calm wash over her, letting Koi ground her again. He was good at that. Keeping her even and calm and...okay. She just wanted the same for him. And she knew she was asking for a lot. Koi was who he was and he did what he did and gave a fuck who said anything about it, but...she wasn’t going to relive her mistakes. Devyn wasn’t about to let Koi end up like Yvette. He was stronger than that and she knew it.

“I’m not going do it again, Koi-,” She pulled away from him, her fingers falling between his before she continued. “I’m not going to watch you die like I watched her and not say anything. I know I can’t tell you to stop, but I can ask and at least feel like I tried.” This was about her. She’d pretended that it was about Koi and wanting him to be safe and healthy and happy...That wasn’t all bullshit, but she wanted all of those things for herself. She couldn’t be without him. Losing Koi the same way she’d lost her mother would crush her and she couldn’t have that. She wouldn’t survive it.

“Just tell me I won’t lose you…”

Koi - 22-6-2014 at 11:48 AM

Koi's arms wrapped around Devyn as she allowed herself to be pulled to him and held. He knew what she said was true. She wasn't even mad. She was hurt. He'd hurt her. And what was worse, he'd hurt her the way that her mother had. Unintentionally, but it had happened. And koi hadn't even noticed it. When she'd turned away a line, it wasn't because she just "didn't do that shit". It was because "that shit" terrified her. That shit, lying on the table in front of her, made her remember her mother...and losing her. And never seeing her again. Because of "that shit". Koi felt like the goddamn scum under a nutsack. He felt...dirty. Because he'd caused this. Her tears were his fault. He'd laid in the bed while she'd probably watched over him the entire night, just to make sure that he didn't up like her mother...and he woke up and couldn't remember a damn thing. He closed his eyes slowly as he pressed her to his chest, his fingers going to her hair as she cried against him. And he couldn't help but wonder like he'd wonder so many times before...just why she wasted her time on him. Why she didn't leave his ass to asphyxiate on his own vomit when "that shit" went wrong in his system. Why did she even give a fuck?

"Devyn. You weren't there, bae." He said, trying to reassure her. She couldn't help her mother because from what he could tell, she was miles away from her. She was here. And for whatever reason, she couldn't look over her mother. But Koi refused to believe it was her fault. He knew Devyn. If she could've been with her Moms, she would've. Something was keeping her away. Against her control.

"You can't blame yourself." He spoke quietly, his lips pressing against her head as she finally stopped sniffling. Koi hoped that meant that her tears had stopped. He hated to see her cry. He hated watching pain in her face...especially when he'd caused it. "I know that wherever she is now, watching down on you? She doesn't blame you. So why are you blaming yourself?"

He kissed her hair again, feeling her pull away from him as she spoke. Telling him how she wasn't going to go through that again. How she wasn't going to not speak up while he was killing himself. He swallowed hard as he looked away from her, hearing her continue. She knew that he was his own man. That he wasn't exactly an order follower. That he handled his problems his own way...which usually ended him up behind bars...or in a "treatment center". That was his own decision. But she just...fuck.

He sighed as he looked at the intertwined fingers, fighting the thick, choking feeling that had just risen to his throat. He tried to swallow it away, but it was still there...suffocating. Making him shift on the bed. Making his eyes sting. She didn't want to lose him. He nodded, because he understood that. He couldn't lose her either. That point was proven with the year they hadn't spoken to each other. She was his best friend...his baby. He couldn't see her leaving him like that again. So he understood. Because what she was talking about was so much more permanent that just "not talking" or "being angry". She didn't want to lose him...forever.

"Hey..." He said, pulling her arm softly so that he could make sure she really heard. "You're not losing me. I'm here. I'm breathing." He pulled their joined hands to his chest, over his heart.

"My hearts still beating." He pulled their hands to his mouth, kissing hers. "You're not losing me, Devyn."

Devyn - 23-6-2014 at 03:24 AM

She wanted him to make her yet another promise...Or maybe it was the same promise a second time? She just wanted him to stay for her. She needed him to stay for her. It had been months, but Devyn still felt her. She still felt the sting of that loss everyday and Koi was still the only thing keeping her together. Devyn would be lying if she said she felt like there was much else going on in her life. Yeah, she had college apps and volleyball, but none of that shit really mattered to her. She mostly did that to keep Athena happy; because it was what she was supposed to do. The only thing that brought her genuine happiness these days was the crew. Miyu, Dhonny, and especially Koi. She had only ever told the kid, but they were really the only reason she hadn’t faced her fate and flown back home to let Hilton deal with her…

Of course, she hadn’t told Koi all of that. Her family outside of her mom and her aunt was still completely off limits to do any more than mention, but her point remained. She just wanted to hear that he wasn’t going anywhere. Not that she wasn’t to blame for her mother because she knew she was. She left her. She and Athena thought that was for the best, but Devyn had always known it wasn’t. She knew that leaving her mom with her monster of a husband wouldn’t end well, but they convinced her to leave anyway. They told her Yvette would be fine...she wasn’t. She wasn’t and it was because Devyn was here being chicken shit instead of with her mother being her rock. It was her fault.

Hey…Devyn’s thoughts were broken as Koi asked for her attention. Her free hand came to wipe at her face, drying the tears that had fallen. You’re not losing me. Devyn heard herself sigh in relief. She didn’t know why; it didn’t necessarily make what he was saying true. Anything could happen to either of them and she could lose him...but somehow just hearing him say that made her feel better. Made her feel as though he was really going to try for her. Devyn nodded as he kept talking. Reassuring her that he wasn’t going anywhere. She felt her lips pull at the corners as he kissed her hand.

“I…-,” Devyn stopped. Her eyes going wide at the realization of what she was about to say to him. I love you. She did. She loved him. The last time she’d let herself think it was when Miyu told her how stupid loving him made her; but it was true. Devyn loved Koi and it was in this exact moment that she was letting herself acknowledge that.

“I’m sorry-,” she pulled her hand away from his, laughing a little as she tried to play off her pause. She wiped at her face again, drying the last of her tears as she stood up. “I, um, thanks kid...I still kinda need you around.” She smirked at him, as she leaned down and kissed his lips, quickly.

She needed him more than he even knew.
